We will be running a series of 4 rounds over December on Sunday evenings with the Formula Nippon cars. They are a bit slower than the F1 we are used to but drive very well and should be great fun for the holidays.

It will be a cup event to keep things interesting.

Format:

20 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race 1:........? LAPS WITH pit stop

10 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race2:........? LAPS With pit stop. At least 4 tires must be changed.


POINTS:

1 point for pole position in both races.

1st.....17
2nd.....14
3rd.....11
4th.....8
5th.....6
6th.....4
7th.....2
8th.....1

The race will have a standing start

The usual league rules apply.
Keep it clean and have fun guys. Don't forget to welcome any new drivers.

Kev, As I thought, if you covert that Sochi track it works. It looks good. Think we must use it for Sunday.

Excellent track, pity about Sochi, but maybe with the fix Gert speaks of we can use it in the full season, but Watkins sounds excellent.

Watkins Short is brilliant to drive in the Nippon.

Just put the F1_14 folder into your locations folder.

None of us have driven this track before and it really needs some practice. There are a LOT of corners that are going to take time to learn. Going to be very interesting to see what happens here.
As usual, the cars go very well and good times are expected from the guys that take the time to learn the track.

Dont know how but i lost a lot in the pits stops...but managed a good double second with close dicing in both races, awesome driving guys! Always a pleasure having such good close and fast races!

Well, what would I say? 2 days ago I started in GSC, today I've driven an open wheeler the first time since uuuuuuuuhhhhhm, 2008?! And of course first open wheeler online race for me. Was quite a challenge and tried to keep it as clean as possible. The pace wasn't bad at all, thx to Kevin for the setup, which was a nice base.
I'm really sorry for causing that big pile up in lap 1 in race 2. Missed my braking point, hit somebody already being in the runoff area, spun around and before getting back up to speed, I got 5 cars behind me, looking forward to pass me on both sides. Tried to give space to let everyone through, and finally lost a rear wheel.
After this I tried to improve myself as I got a clean track. After the pit stop cycle, I was about 20 seconds behind Kevin, being able to get him, but did too many mistakes. Really haven't understood this car yet. But ok, first try in a similar game to GTR2, but with huge differences.

I missed the plot on this track. I could not get my setup right to give me proper drip in the corners at all.

Another good outing for me at Sochi in the Nippons. I am not really an open wheeler fan but I love these cars. A bit difficult to get the best out of them but fun to race. Once or twice I was close to the lap times of Denis and Migs and qualified in 3rd place for both races.
In race one I had a spun in the last turn causing Dirk to pass me. I kept 4th place to the end as Dirk had a strong race himself. WD man.
Making no mistakes in the 2nd race I took the lead after the pit stops and kept it to the end to finish in 1st place, again with Denis breathing down my neck. Hey that last lap was a thriller to stay ahead. Always good to fight with you, Denis.
