DTM 2014 ROUND 8 Zhuhai 30 SEPT

Due to the fact that the track list for the DTM was made up BEFORE update 1.21, some of the tracks don't work with the update.
For this reason the track has been changed to Zhuhai for the next round.

We will be driving the 2014 DTM Mod at Zhuhai
Racing will start at 8:00pm SA

30 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race 1:........20 minute sprint

10 minute qualify for feature race.
Race2:........40 minute Feature race with pit stop. At least 4 tires must be changed.

The race will have a standing start

The usual league rules apply.
Keep it clean and have fun guys. Don't forget to welcome any new drivers.

Hi there, I'm in as always with my BMW#21
I have some ugly memories of Zuhai from our first GT2 championship, I hope I will be faster with the BMW... or I'll have to sabotage Christo's and Gert's cars for sure

I am looking forward to tonight's race. Not because I am good, but I am learning along the way thanks to Kevin and other guys helping me to learn how to beat them.

This track might look easy but it's not. Will be a good racing tonight!

Terrible 2 races for me. 1st Race my pedals moved forward so I could not brake in time and collided with wall, Second race got DC

Good racing tonight.
Came 2nd in the first race and 3rd in the second.
Steady driving helped!

that was fun, managed to finish race 1, race 2 on the other hand I was behind someone for a few laps tried to catch up to get into the race, but concentration let me down made a few mistakes including popping engine.

Think best time i managed was around 1:31 only, but couldnt put those times down consistantly.

That was some very good racing up front, and i defnitly had some fun trying to powerslide that BMW

That was awsome racing i had good pace but i couldnt beat Kevin, im happy with 3rd in 1st race and 4th in second race brilliant driving guys!!!

A much better race for me this time, as I managed to put up a good challenge to Christo. Q1 was super close and I finished P2 for 0.059s. I had a good start and jumped in front, but Christo stayed between 0.6s and 1.4s all the time before a misunderstanding with Otto sent him off track. VERY sweaty first laps where I couldn't afford any mistakes! Then I just had to bring the car home, but I kept pushing because the car felt nice.
Q2 I managed pole with a sub-1.28 lap I was very happy with. I pulled away well at the start but braked too late at T2 so Christo passed. He was very fast and managed to pull away a little bit faster from the corners, something I will have to work on. A cent here and there makes a couple of thenths at the end of each lap! Sadly I braked too late a few times in the following laps, which cost me 7-8 seconds and the possibility to at least put some pressure on Christo. Well done man! I'll have to push even harder next time and it's a pleasure to have such an opponent.
Also, I hope Razor will manage to practice a bit next time, so that the opponents will be two

Mmm Kyukyu - not just beat me in the first race but also beat me in writing your race report here.
I could manage 1:27:xx's all the time during practice on Monday night, but somehow battled to repeat the times last night, with just a few laps in the 27's.
I had a poor start in race one so Kyukyu took the lead off me through the first corners. However, I could keep up with him and waited for a chance to get past. Instead I made a mistake and hit a wall when re-joining the track. This caused me to pit and repair the damage, so my best after that was I think a 5th place.
With the second race not on pole but in second behind KyuKyu, I got a far better start tailing him through each corner. This time it was his turn to run wide and that was my chance to take the lead, this time determined to stay ahead. Pitted half way, filled the car with 40 litres of petrol and new tyres, and off I went. The car felt so much better this time and I could easily stayed ahead of Kyukyu.
Yes thanks for another nice clean battle. Well done to all the guys that finished. Just a big shame on those that started the championship with us but are no longer interested to attend every race so kindly arranged by Kevin.
