DTM 2014 ROUND 5 NORISRING 9 SEPT

We will be driving the 2014 DTM Mod at Norisring
Racing will start at 8:00pm SA

30 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race 1:........20 minute sprint

Superpole qualify for feature race. One out lap and one hot lap
Race2:........40 minute Feature race with pit stop. At least 4 tires must be changed.

The race will have a standing start

The usual league rules apply.
Keep it clean and have fun guys. Don't forget to welcome any new drivers.

Please post the car number you will be using on this thread.

You sign up under 'Our Championships' and write race reports or anything to do with the specific race day here under 'Next Events'. Am I correct Kevin?

Looking forward to this one!!! Its a small track,but very wide..so overtaking whouldnt be much of a problem for anyone,hopefully us merc's can do really great on this one seeing it holds the lap record

Sorry guys had to ditch last night. Will see you guys on the track Sunday night again.

I did relatively good in the first race until I got disqualified for not taking a drive through penalty. Car was going well and thanks to Kevin who gave me a few lessons before the time improving my driving to a great extent.
The second race also went well but I got DQ again, this time I cannot recall why. The car handled well but brakes not as good as in GTR2.
Thanks to all the guys for attending.

Surprisingly I managed pole position in both races, this after I battled to qualify mid-field when we were here in a previous championship, and that with Gert around....
I had 2 perfect races, starting from pole and finished in first place. Not sure why Gert did not finish the race evening as I expected a real fight with him again. Well done to Kevin for a very good run in both races and to Francois finishing in the top 3, but everyone had a good go here.
Sorry I will miss next week but will be in action again the following week. Enjoy.

Had a great evening of racing.
Race 1 qualified 4th and got a good start. Stayed behind Francois for some laps, not letting him get ahead until he pulled into the pits??
Carried on with no mistakes to finish 2nd.
Race 2 saw me qualify in 3rd. After 2 laps, got ahead of Francois and slowly pulled away from him. Pitted very late and cruised home to an easy 2nd place.
Happy with the result.

I had a fun evening of racing.
Race 1 had a good start found myself in 2nd place until i pitted by mistake giving 2nd place to Kevin and finished 3rd place.
Race 2 saw me qualify in 2nd. After 2 laps, i went sideways in turn 1 and Kevin,Davy,Charl overtook me.I managed to claim back the 2 positions i lost and pitted in the last 4 minutes of the race catching Kevin but was to late and ended up in 3rd place .
Happy with the 2 podium finishes
