FReiza Round 7 INTERLAGOS 19th OCT

WELCOME:

DUE to issues with the Silverstone track which are being fixed, we will be using Interlagos this week.
The track is a default one and has DRS.



FORMAT:

QUALIFY START TIME: 20:00

RACE 1:
QUALIFY= 25 minutes unlimited laps.
RACE= 30 minutes with pit stop.
RACE 2:
QUALIFY= 10 minutes unlimited laps.
RACE= 30 minutes with pit stop.

TIRE CHOICE:
SOFT, MEDIUM  

DAMAGE HAS BEEN INCREASED FOR ALL FUTURE EVENTS

The usual league rules apply to online racing. Make sure you read them!

A Constructor's Championship will also be held. Just for fun. Drivers points will be combined.

thanks guys, really makes me feel good to see all the thanks and thumb ups after a real mind bending week, these are my first skins.

Busy working on a set for Formula Reizas, that car will form the base for other teams were all cars will have same base, but different colour set.

As the extremes are different cars, i will try and make something different for them in the future, maybe over december when i have some free time

The race here could be 24 laps long!!!
30min x 60 = 1800 seconds
1800 / 1min 15sec average
1800 / 75 = 24 laps

If i'm not too late, can i get in on the #8 car?

Not at all in a mood to say anything actually. Was constantly doing 1:12's during practice for the event and looked forward to race here.
On lap 1 of the first race while chasing Peter for 3rd I lost my internet connection.
Got back on for race 2 and as I pulled away my game stuttered, I spun to the left hitting someone (I think) and lost connection again. Sorry if I did hit someone but it hopefully was my lagging.
Got connected again but could not even follow the race on LiveRacers as the cars were reversing more than going forward.
SCRAP THE WHOLE WEEKEND.

We really missed you Christo. Bad luck man. I know you will bounce back next week.

Really enjoyed tonights races got a top speed of 340.0 kmh.Thanks Kevin for all the hard work.

I managed to get a good setup after many hours of testing, but what I found more important was to understand the lines to take and be consistent with them. I raised my ride height so I could run over the tightest corner kerbs without spinning, this gained me a few tenths.
R1: After a sluggish getaway I was doing fine in P4 until I overtook a back marker on the pit straight who was oblivious as to what was going on & rammed into the back of me on T1 destroying my race, I recovered onto track but my damage was so severe that I spun & crashed on T3 which unfortunately for Francois was on the racing line & he could not avoid hitting me. Sorry!
R2: I had a similar start but I thought I was in Quali setup as I was catching Razor after a few laps which I got rather excited about, it turned out that he was being held up by Hennie who managed to take himself out leaving us to get on with the race.
Held P4 for most of it and got excited again on the last lap when I was catching Razor who had no front wing, was less than 1 sec at the finish line Fun racing and nice to have lots of drivers.

Commiserations to Christo who would have given the front runners a run for their money if his internet had not screwed up.

I allmost went into this race with no practice. At the last minute on Saturday night I decided to start practicing. It was a good thing cause I was without power the entire day on Sunday. Power came on as quali started.
Race 1:
A race I would not want to talk about. Did not know the straights are parking areas.
Race 2:
Q 2 P1
Eugene & I quali time was very close. Nice Eugene.
Had a fear start, pace was not to bad. I then decided I was not gonna take it easy & pushed hard early. Closed the gap to E, but he spun. I then built a gap on Migual. I then had a bit of a spin but managed to recover to stay in front. I then held back a bit as not to eat up my tyres. Car got very loose when on worn tyres. After my stop I did not push as hard
Tyres were not performing well. I took it easy, that allowed
Migual to close the gap to me.

An added not, after my incident in race 1 I bacame very worried about catching up the the slower guys. In both races it felt like I had to play dodgems with some of the guys. started being over carefull when pasing them. But it was good to see a nice grid last night. Hope to see you all at gthe next race.

Fun event, lacked some more track time for this race.

R1: Had a moerse bump with someone that lost control at T1/T2, with the outcome being me taking a 42sec pitstop on Lap 1, as I was in pits, i got lapped already. Was close to hitting the ESC button but thought, F***CK this i need the points. Drove my tyres into the ground, had a spin on Lap16 got some damage again, had to pit and change tyres.

R2: Good start found myself in 3rd for a couple of turns i think, had massive tussle with Kevin with about 5 laps to go i decided to save my limited feul and not make mistakes and be happy with 6th
