FORMAT:

QUALIFY START TIME: 20:00

RACE 1:
QUALIFY= 20 minutes unlimited laps.
RACE= 20 LAPS with pit stop.
RACE 2:
QUALIFY= 10 minutes unlimited laps.
RACE= 20 LAPS with pit stop.

TIRE CHOICE:
Track Default

DAMAGE HAS BEEN INCREASED FOR ALL FUTURE EVENTS

The usual league rules apply to online racing. Make sure you read them!
Please read the overtaking rules. No excuse if you get a penalty.

PENALTIES:
DEWALT: Total racing Ban for 6 weeks.

Nice flowing track, nice mixture of fast & slow corners, can be a technical track to drive.

Should have made this one triple points.

Thanks to all the guys that competed in the opening season of Formula Reiza.

Allthough my points gap might seem a big one, guys like Razor,Christo & Migual had some nice pace on some of the tracks to challange me. Think Season 2 will be a lot closer then season 1.

Had good pace with my setup that I started working on during the week allready using the help of AI. That was to get the base. But at the end I ended up using my spa setup & adapted it for this track.

Race 1:
Q 1 P 1
My start was average, could not launch the car properly. Did manage to get onto the lead throught turn 1. I built on my lead & then kept it with some consistancy. Pit stop was 4 secs. Kept the lead till the end.

Race 2:
Q 1 P 1
My start again was not to good. But did manage to keep ahead of Razor. I then pushed to build a lead & then kept a steady pace. Pit stop 4 secs again & kept my lead. I then pushed hard to build a lead & then drove a steady pace to mantain till the end.

My first open wheeler championship I completed. Watched F1 racing for many years but was never really keen racing them. So I had a slowish start to the season, I remember Kevin bragging that he was faster than me. My biggest challenge was 1. to set them up and 2. to get them off the starting line. With the help of Gert and a lot of reading in set up manuals I am now able to set the car up very well. My 3-4 sec gap to the leaders has come down close to 1 sec a lap. The only battle is still to get the car off the starting line - fast and in a straight line. Will have to speak to Gert to help again !!!
Finishing the season in second place was a real achievement for me and I am happy about it. Well done to Gert for finishing in the top spot and to Eugene coming 3rd after starting later in the season.
Actually I would like to congratulate each and everyone who took part in the season - WELL DONE.
See you all on track next Sunday for the opener of the second season.

Season 1 comes to an end....

After over 2 months and 20 races, we have a Champion!
CONGRATULATIONS GERT on a super performance and well deserved title.
CONGRATULATIONS goes to CHRISTO for a stunning second place in his first full season of online racing. Lot more to come from him.
CONGRATULATIONS goes to RaZoR for a good third spot considering he started the season late.

Looking ahead to Season 2...

A number of drivers are going to be dark horses and have to be watched.
Migs is one.....he is super fast and starting to find his feet at the front. Keep your eye on him.
Peter, Hennie, Fransie, charl, Jacques and Mike are all drivers to watch as some of them are proving to be quicker by the day.
I think we are going to have a very tight season 2 and look forward to it.
As for myself, I will practice more and try my best as usual.
A big thank you all and without each and every one of you, the season would not have been as great as it was.

First of all... congratulations to the top 3 - Gert, Christo and RaZoR. Well done gentlemen

Secondly, I think everyone else down the field also need a big thumbs up for enduring the constant battle to return race after race even though it sometimes didn't bear positive results... your persistence will be rewarded.

As for me, I did join the season late with only 4 events to go, but it was an absolute pleasure to have to come from the rear on most occasions and fight for some points. I will own all my mistakes and hopefully learn from them not to be repeated. I do feel quick in the car, but unfortunately my setups let me down and it is something I will work on to improve.

I am grateful for being part of this family and would love to see it grow in leaps and bounds from here on in.

P.S. @Kevin - Thank you for the motivational confidence with regards to being a "Dark Horse". I hope to not disappoint then.

Ja F1 is not one of my favorite racing formats. But I shall race when i get the chance. I am not going to reserve any cars or aspire to join a team as I feel this will be detrimental to my potential team mate when it comes to the manufacturers points !!
