This will give you an RFM in the menu and group the cars together. The fix is only 650k

FORMAT:

We will run the same format as the other Championships.
2x30 minute races WITH pit stop. 4 TIRES MUST BE CHANGED.
Qualify will be 15 minutes for BOTH races

Racing will start at 8pm (GMT+2) or later if there is load shedding.

THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES. Every man for himself.

@ pole positions so that was good, race 2 was a good race for me and thank you all you guys i passed very courteous driving and much appreciated!

Race 1...well all was going well till the pit stops, till poor Marko in his first race doing very well..pitted and could not see anyone! Unfortunately there were a few of us in the pits affected. Well done though for your first race. Hopefully this does not happen again!

Well done to the rest of the podium guys, Dirk, Eugene and Christo for a win and a podium good driving!

Lots of spins tonight, i guess its a hard track if you touch the curbs! Hope we have a good race at the next meeting!

Very frustrating evening for me...

Race1
Was in 2nd and got hit in pits and that ruined the race.
Race2
I was in 4th and Migs spun on 2nd or 3rd lap in first corner and Christo tried to avoid him and took me out. I went to pits because the car had serious damage. On my first lap out somebody took me out when they rejoined the track and that was the night...

I was very satisfied with my own driving - had no spuns and no nervous moments on the kerbs and my race pace was good...

Forgot to say - it was good to see so many guys participating late in the evening

Hey Guys, firstly I apologise to everyone affected by my mayhem. Seems my connectivity could be an issue, I couldn't see any other cars.
Even just trying to spectate in R2 would result in cars appearing and disappearing continuously.
Nonetheless, it was awesome to participate in my first race ever, and to meet everyone.

It may be your graphics settings - Visible vehicles.
I have mine turned down & visible vehicles set to 10 so that my PC can run acceptable frame rates. It usually shows the nearest 10 cars which disappear & reappear even in replays Have a look at yours these work for me:

Hi Peter! Thanks, mine was set at 20, I'll try with 10. Frame rate seemed ok though. I suspect it is more to do with Internet connectivity.
Here's a clip of my lap 10 pit stop. As you can see, no other cars and nothing to indicate I'd crashed into anybody

Ok to change your name on the forum, at the top of the page click profile, then it open the edit profile option and just type the new user name in then click the save option!

Just wondering, pondering, tinkering even lol...Marko your ping in game was just over 300, maybe with it being high and trying to draw too many cars it would have this effect as the more cars it draws the more data it requires from other users straining your connection.

Will be keen to see if changing it to 10 visible cars fixes it! We can do some fun races on friday to test it all, and possibly to test new car choices for the Nippon replacement???

I'm just gonna forget this one... if spinning out wasn't enough, the game decided to keep giving me drive thru's lap after lap.

Thanks Denis. Yes I am definitely keen to try again before I attempt to cancel iBurst and contact Telskom *shudder*. I've not had any problems with online gaming before, even new FPS stuff like FC4.
My ping to a server close by (smtp.iburst.co.za) was good, suggesting good connectivity:

Yes it is weird, i saw i game you were just over 300 when i drove near you, but you never showed any sign of lag. That was in practice though and no other cars near by. Perhaps as the car count gets higher its straining the connection and it cant get the data fast enough..more a speed issue over a ping issue? What is the iBurst speeds you get? I know some of my clients on iBurst in my area get lowsy speeds.

One of those connection bugs is all! We just need to figure out how to prevent this, test races we can try anything and everything lol.

I wrote a looong race report and it went missing.

Well, 9th in the first race from starting in 16th, so I suppose not too bad.

Race 2

I was cheated by the game!!!!
Contact in turn 2 on lap one saw a 148 second pit stop. Put me a lap or two down on the field.
As I started gaining, Francois was with me and his back wing was missing....needless to say, in the twisty bits I was much faster and on the straights, he was a bullet. We kept changing places, but of course, I get blue flags all the time.
What to do? I had to keep pushing as I was in 11th and could maybe salvage a point or two.
Finally, the game had had enough and gave me a drive thru??%#*@.
Sucks!
