PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TRACK FOR SUNDAY HAS BEEN CHANGED TO BARCELONA DUE TO LIGHT ISSUES AT SINGAPORE.
Re: FReiza Round 2 BARCELONA 14th Sept
Very good decision. Although I like Singapore this track is far too dark and it seems the corners are much sharper than the track we got used to.

Agree on the track being very dark. You really have to focus on corner markers to see. Very easy to mis.Christo Nieuwoudt wrote:Very good decision. Although I like Singapore this track is far too dark and it seems the corners are much sharper than the track we got used to.

Mediums tyres are chocking. Have to nurse the car.
Need more practice & setup changes. Don't have the time now. wasted time testing on Softs. bummer.

We go according to how the track was made. Can't change them.
The mediums are not too bad. Take about 3 laps to really kick in.

The GTR2 track was PERFECT, how about converting to rFactor to GSCE?

Re: FReiza Round 2 BARCELONA 14th Sept
OMW, effing Steam decides there is an update brings up a popup while I was driving in race 2. I tried to go back in the game, but the game had an error so that was me for race 2.
Well race 1:
Q 1 P1
Did a decent quali lap I think. After I realized that I was practicing with the wrong tyres I did not bother doing to many hotlaps on the mediums. I focussed more on my race pace with fuel.
Had a good start. Took it easy on the first few laps & then when I saw that Christo got tangled with some guys I just took it easy not to make no errors till my pit. Pitted with 10 min left & then did a few fast laps.
WD to all the guys that competed tonight.
The grid is going to get bigger in the upcoming races.
See you all at the next race.

Re: FReiza Round 2 BARCELONA 14th Sept
With Gert just too fast, I was happy to qualify in 2nd for both races. Got bumped from behind in race 1 turn 1 so I had to make my way through the field. The DRS is working well on this track so I could pass easily down the straight. I tried a different strategy to Gert as I knew I will not get close to him the normal way. Finished in second behind him.
Race 2 was a better through turn 1 although I had a poor start, could not get the car off the line. So it was a chase after Gert again after passing Charl. After a few laps I saw Gert going off in 2nd last corner so the lead was passed to me. Sorry to hear about what happened Gert. This race KK was much faster and I had to ensure he stays behind. With mistakes from him I had a clean run to finish in 1st place. Good pace by KK after being away for some time. Nice to have you back with us. Well done to everyone entered the races.
Enjoy your week's racing, I will be back on Thursday - promised the wife a few days away....
