ONLINE RACING RULES
Below, you will see the rules to taking part in our league. Please read them and come back from time to time as they will be updated on a regular basis.
Here are the racing rules for ShadowracingRSA. They are important, so take note and make our racing more fun.
1. NO chat in the chatbox during qualifying or during the race. AT ALL! You will be warned the first time and will start at the back of the grid in the next race should you chat a second time. It puts a lot of drivers off. Dont even say "Sorry" or use any of the ingame chat.
2. The race is not won on the first corner. Wait for a decent place to overtake and CONSIDER the other driver. Should you clip his car from behind, you will be warned if the review board feels you could have avoided the contact and will be punished. We all want a fair chance to finish the race and please show respect to the other drivers.
3. No driving on the track between races. The grid is being reset at that time.
4.Should you be lapped, DO NOT try to race the car that is lapping you. Many accidents are caused this way and you will receive a penalty. You destroy someone's chance of doing well in a race and we all want a fair chance to finish as high as possible
5. If you have an issue during a race, PM the admin afterwards who will have the race reviewed and take action if needed. DO NOT enter into a fight on the forum or on Teamspeak. This will not be tolerated.
6. NO SWEARING ON THE FORUM. The public reads what we write, so keep it clean and we can talk without bad language.
7. If you are caught cheating, you will be banned immediately!!! NO WARNINGS WILL BE GIVEN.
8. If you hit another car from behind, it is your fault and will result in a penalty. Be careful when following another car, we don't all brake at the same point on the road. Be patient and wait for the right place to overtake.
9. There are only a few overtaking spots on all the tracks. WAIT your turn!!The habit of just trying to overtake anywhere must stop. If you are found to cause a driver to be pushed off the track at the wrong place to overtake, 20 seconds will be added to your race time.
10. We ask that the drivers inform us of rule breaking so we can ensure a fair race for all.
11. NO FLICKING LIGHTS will be allowed unless you are being lapped and you show the faster driver that it's safe to overtake or to say thank you. Penalties will be given as it puts drivers off when someone is flicking lights for no reason.
12. Should you spin out or leave the track, DO NOT MOVE THE CAR until it is safe to do so. This applies to the start especially. Wait for the track to be clear, otherwise you take out a number of cars and this is not fair.
The main thing to remember is that this is a game and we are here to have fun.
Please guys, keep the racing clean. I hate to warn drivers but have to consider all of you.
Detailed description of the first corner Rule;
To ensure that every driver behave in the first corner/s of a race, the following will apply with immediate effect.
If a track has more than one corner in close proximity of the first corner, the following corner/s will also be classified as the first corner. Â Monza will thus have 2 corners as a first corner, Sakhir will have 3 corners as a first corner, etc. The first corner therefore consists of a "set of corners".
1. Â Â When approaching the first corner on a single first corner circuit the racing line must be followed throughout the corner. Cars on the outside of the corner must remain on the outside of the corner and cars on the inside of the corner must remain on the inside of the corner. No corner cutting is therefore allowed.
2. Â Â When approaching the first corner on a circuit with a set of first corners, the racing line must be followed throughout these set of corners. Cars on the outside of the first corner must remain on the outside of the first corner, then remain on the inside of the second corner if the corner is to the opposite direction or stay on the outside if the corner is in the same direction as the first corner. Â See attached sketches for clarification.
2. Â Â No weaving or swerving allowed through these sets of corners, stay on the racing line.
3. Â Â If a car on your side of the corner is slower than you, remain behind this car until you are through these corners. Do not weave or swerve out as you cannot see to the side of your car if there are other cars on their racing line. Â Thus stay in a straight line through the corner or corners.
4. Â Â Cars on the inside of the corner must ensure that they brake in time to stay on the inside of the corner and not cut across the track in the path of those on the outside racing line.
Remember: Â Â Â It takes longer to stop a car with cold tyres !!!
It takes longer to stop a car with cold brakes !!!
Tip:          Practice starts help drivers to determine the first corner braking point, depending on the circuit,  could be much further towards the corner as top speeds are usually not reached on approach.
The Admin's decision is final when penalties are due.
We are all grown-ups. No running other drivers down or inciting chaos will be tolerated. Drive somewhere else if you feel the rules are too strict for you here.
As long as the racing is clean and fair, you should enjoy yourself with us.
BRAKE TESTING;
ANYONE caught brake testing another driver during a race will be immediately banned. This is not done and we consider it to be a form of cheating.
We realize your brake might be sticky or dirty to cause your brake lights to flicker at times, but we will look closely at this.
QUALIFY:
NO driver shall bully his way past a slower car during qualifying. This will not be tolerated. Every driver has the right to do the best he can and they DO NOT have to move over if they are on a hot lap. If you come up behind a slower driver and can't get passed smoothly, try another lap. Penalties will be given should you bully another driver at ANY stage. Try to time your hot lap where you have space both front and back.

Everybody has the right to a clean race. There are also races between the slower cars, so don't expect the back markers to just move over because you happen to be behind them.
Just want to make sure for myself and everyone else, this means that the P1s are responsible for overtaking the GTEs, and GTEs don't have to specially move out of the way while going through a corner?
Kevin wrote:That's correct. If you stay on the racing line, the P1 won't have any sudden moves by you and will overtake as fast as it is safe to do so.
On a long straight, if you have a lot of time, you can move over and flick your lights to show him to go past.
The main thing is NO SUDDEN MOVES.

Re: ONLINE RACING RULES
I suggest to everyone to first get a penalty... then... read the rules again and then... understand the gravity of these rules and then... say "Roger that" or "Understood" or "Accepted".
Believe me, they sound different the second time around.
I've read them again and understood... not necessarily in agreement
