GT3 SEASON 2--- 2016

WELCOME:

Starting in January, we will begin Season 2 of the GT3 Championship.
We will use the same GT3 mod from EEC that we used in 2015 and we ask that you start painting your cars now. Unfortunately, permission was denied to use the league version, so we will have to use the old one. We still ask that you don't share it!
Keeping good mods in-house is a double edge sword, on the one hand, it keeps drivers in your league if the mod is good and draws a few more drivers. The down side is, with all the sims out there, the community is not that big and I believe we should help one another as not all drivers that use the game can drive on the same night of the week. Anyway, a BIG thank you to Daniel at EEC for giving us permission to use the version we have last season. They are still great cars to drive.

If you would like to enter as a new driver, I will post a link to the mod in a PM to you as soon as possible.
Test the cars and whichever you choose, you can paint it or ask on this thread and one of the painters will do it for you.

I'm up for it.
I'll take a Porsche again as they are easy to drive.
It would be nice to have a list of all the tracks & dates posted before the series starts.
If you want some tracks testing Kevin give me a shout.
Perhaps we could post track suggestions along with our entries?
I would like to see SPA for sure & how about the NÜRBURGRING and Brands Hatch for a change?

yes, i will be there, with the Porsche, to join Peter on the grid...

....And i'll be there to give the vw's (Porsche) a run for their money with my Ferrari.

I'd love to participate but that's 6pm for me here in UK which is just too early for me, so I'm spending some time over at REVS for now, but will be back racing with you guys if the DST changes and I can make it work again - I like the feel of your community here. All the best for Season 2 all!

As far as I know, Christo and the guys painted without templates or he got some from somewhere else. They were not made available to us. I will ask Christo to send you what he has.

Here is the link to the templates we have at the moment. Use the image size as is to paint the car, but change the image size to 2048 x 2048 before saving it as a DDS file else your car will not show up in the game. Contact me if you have any problems with the file. These cars are based on most GT3 cars found in other mods so there could be more templates available online. PLEASE FIRST test that your template will work as you do not want to waist all your time if the template is not compatible with this mod as I did not test all the templates.

The new car, new look KP AUTOSPORT entry for Season 2.
A spokesman for the team is quoted as saying that this season the team will mount a much stronger challenge.

Riaan will also join the GT series is his Corvette.. We have ben working hard on the skins. Its looks great so far!

Mod overlaps will be a thing for me as the Realish Racing GT3 mod has this one as its base... on the bright side I think I still have some templates for the cars, just a question of which car

Ferrari for me please! Kevin, you will be much more competitive this time around. That GTR from season 1 was impossible to drive!

We will do a few short test runs on 4th Jan---Monday, to help test the cars in race conditions.

The Mercedes, I would say it isn't too much of an issue but it really affects the car when trying to get off the grass after a spin

For those that will skin their cars, please place the DDS file in TeamSpeak and send me a mail confirming to myracingpc@gmail.com We need the completed skins by the weekend.

I have so far received skins for:
Marius - Deltec Racing
Riaan - Deltec Racing
Ken - Extreme Racing
Francois - Fan Racing
Christo - Awesim Racing

Time is running out fast. The server will be loaded with these skins on Saturday morning. The download will be available in teamspeak and dropbox. You must have these installed before the race on Monday night. Please test them BEFORE Monday. If no skins submitted yet by Monday, please use one of the WHITE test cars until a skin is available.

Just to confirm that I'm sticking with the Porsche 997 cup.
If you can skin it for me that would be nice , no preferences for colours etc.
