Can't wait for SPAAAAAAA
I'm in a race against time to have my PC ready for tomorrow.
At least once a year, i disassemble clean out, assemble and a nice funky fresh clean install
Lot of work but so worth it
Tried to stall so i can get Reiza finished, but a few random crashes here and there in the week forced my hand.
Cloned my startup last night, started disassembly, will clean out with Air then put back and start installs / updates / data transfer back etc.
have a good day boys

Drove like a noob, jump start, did not check the proper penalty, then speeding in pit lane. Spun overtaking back marker & damaged car. OMW.

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
Hallo everybody,
I not expect race of this kind yesterday. I not so much on pace but quali 5. Then I wait for lights and get push from back to give drive thru.
I laugh from get fright
After race Vectorpath tell is him fault but I not find him problem because everyone do same thing at start. I not see Vectorpath make trouble... is ok my friend
After get going, I go thru turn 1 I think in 10 place but car is damage and I hear Ken on radio say like he not continue so I think race will restart because all people get false start. I stop at side of track and see all people go past and stay to race.
Now I make problem for me, from last, I must make penalty and then lap 4 I must make pit for damage. Not good place to start but I say is long race and many people also find track very tricky for tyre. I avoid some disaster and other back marker make to pass good... thank you Gary, Shaun, Peter, Hennie, Kevin, Ken... I not think other driver now but you are fair racing.
In end I think I make 5 or 6 stop but get place 3 for podium. My team mate drive wonderful well and deserve win, well done! The other driver drive good also and make good event. All people must be happy mit get to the finish line.
thank you for Shadow for enjoyment race.

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
Thank you to all the drivers.....
Was one hell of a race.
Being eager to pull away, some drivers jumped too early, pity really, but did help a few of the slower drivers like myself.
By lap 4 I was in 5th place and holding my own, watching the clock.
Pitted twice during the race and was really going sweetly until I came flying around a corner to see a car sideways in the middle of the track...
Lost 20 seconds to get going again and finished 8th in the end. Great fun.
Well done to the top 3 and to all of you really. You all gave it your best.

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
Well to start with, a hearty congratulations Alistair A great win!
To the other podium finishers, well done to you guys.
Yes Dereck, you're right as to me complaining about the start (or false start as it were) but i have checked the replay and as far as i'm concerned, we did what was right when the red lights went out.
Unfortunately as we have experienced in the past, whenever Reiza brings out an update to rectify certain gremlins in the game, they seem to create others, and this delayed start is one of them
That being as it may, a commendable effort by all and exceptionally good driving by everyone.
I myself was like a yoyo, in and out the pits more times than i would have liked, with drive thru's..2 of them, damage...2 of them. and of course for the normal tyre change stops...2 of them. Brilliant strategy all round.....
Mr Duffy, an apology for drifting into you in turn i on lap 21, i thought i was okay with you on my outside, but never took into account these cars move serverely under braking. Just pleased no damage or harm came from it.
Lastly, a great position Kevin, great racing!!
On to the Next one!!!

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
Hi Guys,
Wow what a race from a false start with drive thru penalty to three stops in first 3 laps 17 seconds and 71 seconds pit stops for damage, then to serve drive thru, first 3 laps pitted every lap. Even managed to hold up my team mate while serving 71 second stop as he could not get into pit slot!
Duffy had a great qualifying session and posted fastest lap in the race so well done to him, maybe we will both have a look at the starting cycle of the next race as confusion to how the sequence of light worked seems to have caught half the field out. I thought I had missed the start and reacted to the cars to my left only to hear the final bleep as I left the line. Not too sure how many caught a drive thru for false start but I guessing maybe 7 or 8.
So after 5 visits to the pits and 30 laps I ended up 10th but had a good time, the driving I saw was of a high standard and the podiums well deserved.
They say anything can happen in motor sports and it offend does. Well that describes this race for me. You can spend hours on setting the car up and learning every corner but the simplest thing like a starting sequence can screw up your day lol. Lesson learned.
If any of you guys had a problem in the race please forward it to Kevin, who will in turn get it to myself and Ken.
I hope you all enjoyed the race see you all on the track.
Regards,
Paul

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
That was great fun! Congrats to Marius and Dereck. Many thanks to Christo as he helped me a lot with the car. The start was a bit crazy. For some reason the guys in front jumped the start, and like herd-mentality I followed them lol, earning a drive-through. So that put me back a lot. Had to work hard to get back up, and lucked out with Gert and Conor having issues ahead. Then finally a nice battle with Marius who had stormed ahead in the race, great driving! Nice points for us Dereck! Thanks always for the event Kev, Christo, Ken, Paul.

Re: FORMULA REIZA ROUND 5 8th AUG AUGUST
The view from behind
An extract from a backmarkers diary
Well this past week was time to go around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and I was keen for a solid run at one of the nicest tracks on the calendar.
Thinking that Turn 1 at the start will be a massive pile up, I opted to Qualify little slower than the time I could've put on, mind you not by much as at this stage I consider myself as the original captain slow, yip, even slower than Sir James May. Went out quick when Qualification started did a time of 1:56.863, got back to the pits, lit up a smoke and took a sip of my brandy ---- mean water.
I spent the rest of Qualifying looking at my team mate speeding around Spa like it was an oval track, he secured pole with a 1:45.222, and then in a flash Conner Duffy came a screeching and broke 1:44 for qualifying, I for one would love to have seen his face in the cockpit when he saw his Pole position time of 1:44.945, a high five for that Qualy time there mate, well done.
Standing on the grid, I said my little prayer again, I open my eyes the lights start, I’m nervous but ready for action, and keen to have a solid race.
Slow off the line, I start to accelerate, I see a few fumbles along the way, but for the most part it looks as if everyone made it past turn 1 ok, it's as I make my way to Eau Rouge I see in game notices of drivers having to serve drive through penalties, shjoe I'm happy that I was not one of them, as we all know at Monza last week I made a monumental F** Up with my pit lane issued drive through, but never the less, I marched on and found myself in 10th spot coming past the finish line after the first lap.
I was fighting hard not to get to far away from the pack, and about half way I found myself in 7th spot, needing to pit, as my medium tyres are nearly done for, heading into the chicane I hit the breaks as I was nervous to make a mess just before I pit, as I had no damage to my vehicle, I received a slight nudge from someone, but managed to recover and head into the pits, unfortunately pit stop was 20 seconds that included some repairs.
As was sitting have a sip of water, I just hear the cars of Kevin and Francois whizz past pit lane, I dropped to 9, with 14 laps to go it was on like donkey kong. I left the pits with a mission try and catch one of them or both.
I caught up to Kevin and I think his tyres were busy going, he had a slide out just in front of me and I managed to avoid him going past, Francois drove out his skin, and i just couldn't catch him, even after I managed my best lap of 1:53.063 he was just to quick and in the end I decided it would be for nothing if I try and chase him down, only to crash out and get nothing out the evening.
Well done to Alastair that qualified in 8th spot (with 4 pit stops I might ad), came from behind and took the win at Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Have i said before I love these open wheelers
