Re: ADAC GT MASTERS BRASILIA FULL COURSE 6th MAY
Howzit!
Just curious but is their a reason we using Road America again for ADAC and Spielberg Classic again for Nippons? We got some nice tracks we can use, sucks repeating the same tracks over in a season!

The Nippons will be Spielberg for sure. It was our best race for all drivers and gives them a chance for some final points for the season. A number of series are run on the same track in one season. SGT being one of them.
The only other track that will be considered for GT Masters is Brasilia full course.

Re: ADAC GT MASTERS BRASILIA FULL COURSE 6th MAY
[edited to correct the day. I thought today was Wednesday. I guess I'm wishing the week away!]
My DSL has been down for 2 days already and it doesn't look like Telkom is rushing to my rescue... So it currently looks like there's a good chance I could be missing out onthis tomorrow evening's racing. I'll try using my cellphone's 3G connection via USB tethering and see how that goes but I'm not hopeful. I'll join the server during practice so you guys can give me an indication of whether there's lag, in which case I'll withdraw. I'd hate to mess up anybody's race.

As load shedding just kicked in I gather it will be a late race
Is it possible to post on the forum when the event will start - as I gather not all of us will be aware when load shedding will have ended

Re: ADAC GT MASTERS BRASILIA FULL COURSE 6th MAY
Thank you to the drivers that joined. Turned out to be some great driving and the track also helped to keep the race exciting for some. Not so much the first race.
After the PC problems I've had, got to the track as qualify started so began at the back. I did manage to go quicker as the race went on and my qualify for race 2 was much better time wise.
Had a really great battle with Peter for the whole race, thank you for that.
I must say sorry for the contact on the last lap, my tires were gone by then. I did wait for him, but have already given myself a penalty for rear ending him and it's posted in the penalties thread.
Thanks again guys. Was fun and see you next week.

Re: ADAC GT MASTERS BRASILIA FULL COURSE 6th MAY
I only turned a wheel on this track for the first time a couple of hours before the race so I wasn't expecting great results ...and neither did I get them!
My pace was so-so and I had extremely lonely races both times, ending up in 6th with gaps of 20-30 seconds ahead and behind me. Except for the first 3 laps it really felt like one extended practice session.
I must really find some pace soon to start playing with the guys up front or just consider quitting because I'm here for the thrill of close racing, not simply circulate around a circuit for 30 minutes.

Re: ADAC GT MASTERS BRASILIA FULL COURSE 6th MAY
What a race meeting of surprises. I did not expect to enjoy this track having disliked it in other cars we tried but it was not too bad in these cars...not my favourite by any means but made for interesting racing.
Qualifying was so so...got a p2 for race 1 and a p1 for race 2.
Race 1 was a great race, got off the line well but eased off into turn 1 to be safe and slotted in behind Eugene with Gustav right on my tail. We stayed that way for a while and seemed to slightly gap Ryan...but then Eugene and i started having some excellent side by side dicing man was that fun!!! Thanks Eugene really enjoyed that a lot. Some how in the middle of all this Ryan was behind us and into 1 corner lagged quite a lot into Eugene which meant i was punted off track....so that ended that cool dicing but fought back for a 2nd place.
Race 2 was a bit more dull for me starting in pole, pulling away slightly in the early stages then managing the gap until oh CRAP...a mistake and suddenly Eugene was under 2 seconds behind and getting quicker and quicker. Thanksfully a mistake from Eugene in the latter stages meant i did not have to worry about a last lap charge and got the win!
Well done to everyone for joining so late again, good numbers for a late night! You guys drove well, and nice to see Jacques with us too bring that beastly vette out again! Well done to Gustav, Eugene and the guys for a good nights racing!
Dirk...dont give up, new cars soon will bring new challenges! That Marcas of yours and your F3 are going to be having a good time racing!!!
