Thrustmaster T300 Issue Empty Thrustmaster T300 Issue

Hey guys,

I've just bought myself a brand new Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari GTE Wheel Smile
I need help though from anyone who owns either one of these or a T300RS.
My one has a flaw... The shaft that the wheel is mounted on, comes out of the housing at a slight angle. I didn't notice this and spent ages thinking the centering of the wheel was off. Even after adjusting this it just didn’t feel right.. It’s kinda like I’m sitting at an angle to the wheel. After I noticed the flaw, I think this explains the weird feeling I’ve been getting.

I’m not impressed. It's something I’ll get used to but since it's less than 7 days old, now is the time for me to return it for a replacement (Takealot). Are they all like this or am I just unlucky?
I'll try to insert some images here (if I figure it out), and if you can see them I’d say it’s about 2mm difference from side to side at the base. Not much, but this leads to a greater offset the further you go from the base and I feel it is noticeable.
My brother had a go on the wheel earlier this morning and without him even knowing about this issue, the first thing he said is “hey man, why’s it not centered?’.

I don’t want to return it if the replacement will be the same. As I say I’ll probably get used to it, even though it’s somewhat frustrating. I could probably open it up and adjust it, but this will wreck the warranty, so is not an option for now.

Any thoughts from fellow T300 owners?

On a side note the feel, look, quietness, and feedback effects from the wheel are good, and I’m finally able to enjoy Game Stock Car’s awesomeness!

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike, myself and Timo bought the Thrustmaster TX wheels a few months ago and we certainly do not have the issues that you have explained. Our "wheels" are very similar to the T300 but not 100% the same.

Cheers

Mike - maybe look at getting an exchange - Takealot are generally good with replacements
