GTR2 - The end?

It Was fun while it lasted.

I'm feeling rather nostalgic and sad today. To tell you the truth, I miss GTR2.
This was the first proper simulated game I've played online and man oh man, I can only think back to the nice competition, great friends that I have made and the ultimate, to drive any car your heart desires.
However, one should not stand in the way of progress and hopefully I will grow to like GSC as much or even more than GTR2.
Please excuse if I now and then still slip away to a GTR2 server and enjoy the moment until I can focus completely on GSC.
In the meantime, as co-owner of this league, I stay fully committed to support and grow and make new wonderful friends in future.

With rumours that SimBin is bankrupt, Shaun Cole from The SimPit interviewed Jay Ekkel, who started SimBin 11 years ago with titles like GTR, GTR2, GT Legends and more. It is a rather long interview (45 minutes) but if you are interested in what is happening with SimBin and the future of them, then you will watch all 45 minutes. At the end Jay was asked what he think of games like AC and others. By the way, his view about AC is exactly how I feel about it. So if you get bored during the interview fast forward towards the last 10 minutes or so.
Today, 9 September 2014, is a huge day for them and RRE (Race Room Experience). I will definitely update my steam to see what it is all about.
