Yes that's why I thought I'd damaged the motor hence the overheating.Denis Mitchell wrote:Marko, i noticed in your video your car is smoking after the lap too!

Re: SPECIAL Race night
Well gents, I tested these GP2 cars on the old Kyalami circuit and found them to be a blast.
Very realistic as to the movements and general track handling and very quick.
It has my vote....

Re: SPECIAL Race night
I tested all the single seater cars again on old Kyalami.
If it is close racing we want the Formula 3's is definitely my no1.
The V12's and Formula Classic is for me more enjoyable than the Formual 3 if you take the sound and the speed into account. All of these cars handles extremely nice and you can drive them with or without TC which is a bonus.
The GP2 is definitely last on my list. The audio is not good, the cockpit view is also strange compared to other single seaters, on turn in I struggled to be precise with these cars but it could be because of cockpit view that is kind of different and might just be something that one need to get used to. I also agree with Denis on the amount of traction that you get without TC on - it is kind of unrealistic. These cars are better than Nippons but not high on my list at all.

Re: SPECIAL Race night
I tested the GP2 cars on 3 different circuits and found them better in handling, speed and looks than the Formula 3's.
As a mediocre driver, I found the F3's not to my liking and my vote will definitely go to:
1: GP2
2: Formula Classic
3: Formula 3
My humble opinion :

Re: SPECIAL Race night
Looking forward to driving the GP2 and Formula 3 cars again tonight. I was just thinking last night while in bed what tracks i think could enhance a series and i came up with this list as an example of quality tracks but also tracks that encourage good racing! What do you think?
1: Brands Hatch Laser version
2: Brno laser version
3: Montreal default track
4: Phakisa Eugenes creation
5: Donnington laser version
6: Cota laser version
7: Imola default track
8: Silverstone laser version
9: Zandvoort laser version
10: Watkins Glen laser version
Using as many laser tracks as possible but still many more to use like Edmonton or Lime Rock. These tracks would work well for either car and most guys know them already so it eliminates learning a new track and having to download lol. Just throwing it our there!

Re: SPECIAL Race night
Thanks for the suggestions. We will consider all of them, although there are a few I would change depending what cars we drive. COTA and Zandvoort being 2 of them.
The server is loaded with the cars for tonight's tests.
We will be using Zuhai for testing as it has some really great corners to see how the cars behave.

Re: SPECIAL Race night
I tested on some of your laser scanned tracks and they are nice. I love Lime Rock although maybe not suited to fast Nippons as it is very short.
I had a blast there with the Marcas cars though.

Re: SPECIAL Race night
My vote would be any of the GSC open wheelers - the GP2 do not make my list - also do not understand that we have an awesome selection of " in game " cars why is a half baked mod even considered
1) Formula Extreme
2) Formula Classic
3)Formula 3

I have been reading about and driving the CART EXTREME mod from RD and must say, they have really done an amazing job. Surprised we never tried them.
