WES MOD frustration
After struggling with the WES mod in week one, I decided to install a fresh untouched GSC and update to 1.31.
Before Saturdays event i had two clean installs, where I installed both links I got for the WES mod.
And still now luck in joining server.
Is this only me?

Re: WES MOD frustration
There are 2 folders Hennie.
Just copy both into your game folder. One is the RFM which gives you the menu and the other is the usual gamedata.
When you say you can't join, what happens exactly? Can't you join the server? Have you tried the mod offline? Did you install ALL of the updates?
Let me know and we will get it working, don't worry.

Re: WES MOD frustration
On the one download from simtek, both files are self installers from base mod to 1.1 update
on that specific one when i launch game, i don't even see WES mod picture in GUI when i go through cars to select, there is two blank panes however. when I do join server i can only select safety car. Can't select cars in offline.
On the other installers, i got on one of the topics on forum, i can see WES mod GUI screen on game start, but get kicked for RFM. Can race offline.
Both options I installed on barebone GSC installations.
Was so keen to race this, naturally for a chance at the headies, but more so that Saturdays are better for me during DGL legs.
But anyhow ...
Do you extrack the files from simtek somewhere like a temp folder, and copy the files into GSC manually?
A side note, on the simtek downloaded version in my RFM folder, there isn't reiza90.rfm files, but longer names more complete like World Endurance ......rfm (will double check names then paste tonight)

Re: WES MOD frustration
On this page...http://www.simtek.pt/
Look on the right hand top. It says rF1 mod WES.
Click it.
Another window will open. Now scroll down until you see the download mirrors. THERE IS ALSO A PATCH you need to download.
Unzip on desktop and copy the folders into your game.
If that doesn't work, I will upload the mod for you to Mediafire.
EDIT........I am uploading it for you now. Should take about 30 minutes.

Re: WES MOD frustration
Almost done.
Just unzip this one into a folder on your desktop and add the 2 folders to your game.

Re: WES MOD frustration
Hey Hennie.
The Simtek WES mod file i had is just over 700mb, its also in the Teamspeak file browser if that help or if Kevins link helps. My one is a .rar but uncompressed into a folder called Simtek WES MOD V1-1 and within that folder are the files. Try extracting it to the desktop, then copy out the folders within that Simtek folder. Could be you have the mod in the wrong location.
