We will be running an Endurance series of 6 rounds with the WES Mod every 3rd Saturday evening.
Round 1 will kick off at LeMans on the 21st of March'

Length: 1 HOUR
Points: Points will be given for each class in all the races so choose your car carefully as it has to last you 6 rounds.

SCORING:
A POINT will be given for pole position in each class
1st.....20
2nd.....17
3rd.....14
4th.....11
5th.....8
6th.....6
7th.....4
8th.....2
9th.....1

Practice: Practice any time offline. Practice Online on ShadowRacing RSA server from Friday 20 MARCH 2015.
Qualifying: 19:00 for 20 minutes
Race Start: 19:20 sharp
Pit Stops: As many as needed BUT at least ONE pit stop for tyres and/or fuel
Rules: Normal ShadowRacingRSA Racing Rules apply.

WE WILL BE USING THE WES CARS FOR THIS RACE

Remember the racing starts at 19:00 to also accommodate Simtec Racing

This sounds very interesting. Will there be any kind of calendar to see what tracks are coming up for the other 5 races?

This will certainly help me in my decision for a car!

Hey Guys. I have put together a calender for the guys here at the shop, these dates are subject to change. If these dates are well suited to all of you then we should proceed with the season in this layout.

The suggested calender by Simtec Racing is good, though if I may share my input as well; why not replace Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps with Monza and Interlagos respectively? Reason being is because if I remember the last time we used Nürburgring, Simtec Racing found the track unsuitable for its machines due to the track being too bouncy bumpy? And second reason is that we have raced at Spa-Francorchamps before already, not that I don't welcome it a second time, a fresh track is not bad to me as well!

This list is not final. I am waiting for a word with Marco and will have a final list by tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

acutal i do not know if i do make this series and if so, how much races i can make,
but perhaps it would be good to make only 2 classes (not 3), perhaps 1 GT and 1 proto class,
so more driver are in each class, 3 classes with perhaps 15-20 drivers is not so good i think.

if i can make this series, i do make GT class.

and.....is the le mans earo pack ok or not? is important to know, as le mans aero pack do win always the races (only in monaco or other mickey mouse tracks not).
i am used with and without le mans aero pack, so no problem for me is it whatever is ok, and i can install upgrades too in my UI ? menü as i have a addon menü.

Thansk Marco that calendar sounds interesting...should be fun but should it be changed to replace Spa that too will be fine!

Hmm, Reinhard has a good point, maybe it should be P1 and GTE only as the P2kind of gets mixed up in both classes and could cause hassles for some drivers.

I vote against the aero pack i think it might spoil the racing a bit, but will go with whatever the final decision is regarding the use of it!

I'll be in the GTE cars either way!

For a start, SPA will be changed for SEBRING.

Hey guys I have been trying to get this track (JHB motor city) to work, but not having any luck so what would you guys say to either a local track to replace COTA which could be really fun or Maybe Interlagos Historic, One of my favorites and pretty long?

What happens with the track? Not loading?
In other words, you see the loading screen but the bar stands still?

JHB i changed the files...it was packed wrong. Extract the track to a folder on the desktop. Now within that folder you got a folder and loose files, move the loose files to a folder withing the folder thats already within the folder you extracted to.

Basically the folder inside was put in the root!

Local tracks would be nice though i like that idea! Eugene has put a lot of effort in creating our local tracks, and i would love to drive them. Not a fan of FHB Motorcity as it fictional but the real SA tracks im extremely keen on!

Cool thanks Denis. So I would like to suggest either Kyalami or Killarney as one of the tracks for the season. I'm keen on either one. And as for the nurburgring it was crazy bumpy and choppy with the Formula Reiza's but seems to be ok with these WES cars.

With regards to Round 3 we can all vote on it. That way we can all have a say in having an awesome local drag with one another.

Killarney is not a good idea. The track is not suited for LMP cars and is too short and too narrow.
Kyalami is an option, however, a lot of practice would be needed as it is a very technical track to get right.

Id agree with Kevin, Killarney is very bumpy between turn 3 and 4 in the LMP cars. Small size track with big fields will be very hard i think. Kyalami is a hard track but it makes for a good choice, dont forget we also got Phakisa as a choice, and WES cars go well there!

Oh, as for the calendar, its a nice mix of tracks i like and dont like haha! But i think its good to have different tracks, some suiting lmp cars some more suiting the gte, so i think its good!

Phakisa i have tried with the WES mod, in the GTE and it was great...cant remember if i tried LMP though. But from layout its good i think. There is also Aldo Scribante, which i have not tried but with some other cars it was good for racing, not sure how the LMP will go there and passing wise, its tight but a few possible places.

We could set a test server with all SA tracks running WES mod and give it a test.

Can´t do 21/03 (baptism of KKJr)
CAN do 11/04
Can´t do 02/05 (long weekend, will be at SPA for the REAL WES hehe)
Can´t do 23/05 (long weekend again, will be somewhere...)
Can´t do 15/08 (long weekend and middle of summer here)
Can´t guarantee for the others (summer here! time to go out! maybe holiday... hehe)

So for the one round I´m sure to make I´ll choose Ferrari 458 without too much thinking...

Nurburgring GP is actually fine this side, it is just when in the F1's made you feel like you were in a sprinkle pops cup on a rally stage LOL.
So we are all good to go this side. Should be a spectacular Endurance series. Thanks to the Shadowracing team who will be providing great hosting and racing as always. We are looking forward to it !
