Bret here from Cape Town, been chatting to Denis, Marius, Riaan & Kevin on TS earlier today, decided to join you chaps and have some fun. I will be buying the game tomorrow, just wondering if anyone could suggest what best way to get it is..Steam or another download/pay option?

It is 12gigs but that's all you need.
Just put the whole folder into your documents and play it from there.

There are extra cars in that game, but it's updated to the latest. No need to install, just play.

Thanks a lot Kevin. So I do not own GSC at present, I was just downloading the 7.1g one direct from Reiza, which I can pay with after 60 mins of play.

Does this 12g DL work the same way? ie I just pay for the game after 60 mins then all is sorted?

The 12 gig one has a lot extra, but yes, works the same. Carry on with the 7gig then. Easier.

Howzit and an official welcome Bret! Really glad you have signed up and welcome to Steve too. Always good to have more drivers here.

From rF2 im sure GSC will be a breeze to get the feel of, plus it runs smoother too haha!

Regarding the game, stay away from the steam version as it means you cant then have multiple installs. The downloaded version from their site allows you to have as many installs on a machine as you like with different mods loaded in each..some mods change the game and ruin other content so always have a plain vanila install saved as a backup!

Once you online, there are lots of guys that will helps with game or car help, even skins!!!

Thanks for that advice Denis..I actually downloaded Steam yesterday in preparation to get the game later this evening so I think I'll uninstall Steam and go the other route then.

Bugger...Got to 83% and received this error message:

Out of HTML5 Offline Storage space
Your available browser storage for MEGA cannot handle this download size, please free up some disk space.

At the moment the Mega page is standing still on 83% and I'm scared to close the page...if any suggestions then it would be appreciated...otherwise I start the 12GB download again which means another 2 days..lol

Edit...lost the download now..will have to start again..

Think about getting teamspeak setup as it makes the racing much more friendly & fun. It also means sorting out any game issues quickly.
