Re: SGT500 CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 7 BURIRAM 18th FEB
well, this was a big joke today,
till yesterday late at night the race time was 9.30 germany time announced?.
so i come to computer on 20.15 germany time, as i had to work longer and then i had to watch baby (as wife is out of house because i was thinking race is on 21.30), so now i jumped in forum and become a message that race is now at 7.00
this is not good and not correct as i was NOT able to react to this message and did not know that race do start more early till any minutes.
please people do this not in future as i can not watch computer during work and with mobile phone, as i have not mobile phone or other internet watch, only computer if i come home from work.
championship bye bye

Re: SGT500 CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 7 BURIRAM 18th FEB
Championship still OK.
We only know the race time on day of race. The electric power goes off in South Africa nearly every day for a few hours. So can only race normal time when no power cut.

Crazy Pete's comback race
Well what a comeback for me having been away for several weeks.
Lots of new drivers & nice to hear such a friendly atmosphere on Teamspeak.
I managed a 5th in the first race despite a first corner collision which set me back to 13th, followed by a 4th in the second race. So close to 3rd but held off by steady driving from Timo.
All quite unexpected whilst surrounded by great talented drivers.
I had an awesome setup which in fact was so good I gave it to Ryan who used it to come first in both races!
Congrats to all podiums
I liked the cars & the track, maybe those who didn't need to work on their setup a bit more.
See you soon

Not a good nights racing....
Race 1: I did well until my pit stop. Lost two places and just kept it going till the end.
Race 2: Got bumped in last corner of lap one. Nobody's fault, but ended my race.
These things happen.
Thanks to all the guys that took part and we will be driving on better tracks for the last 3 rounds.

Thanks to everyone for a good evening.
My 1st pole and win so I'm very happy about that
A massive thanks to Marco from Simtec for an awesome setup
Unfortunately I had 2 pretty boring races without many overtaking happening but I enjoyed it anyways
See you at the next 1

Race 1 was a total disaster for me too.....messed up my start with the L/C...and caused an incident...apologies to anyone affected....when I got going, I realised that my fuel calcs were wrong so I DNF'd anyway....
Race 2 I chose to start at the back, and got the l/c sorted....made up 5 places....was probably the best I could have hoped for....
Great driving at the top as always, and good fun !!
Thanks all !!

Congrats to the podium finishers and especially Ryan and also Timo with his first podium.
I enjoyed the racing very much last night and most importantly it was a fun evening.
I have to also agree with Peter regarding the friendly and relaxed atmosphere on TeamSpeak. It just make the whole experience so much better...
And as always I want to thank the experienced guys for their willingness to share information and to help us rookies.
