SKINS:
I have repacked them because, when the guys were unzipping them, the files changed names for some reason.
TO INSTALL: Unzip into a folder on your desktop.
1.Go to your game root folder(Where you installed the game)
2. Go to gamedata/Vehicles/F_Reiza.
3. Copy the TEAMS FOLDERS somewhere as a backup then DELETE THEM. (ONLY THE TEAM FOLDERS)
4. Now copy the folders in the skins mod you unzipped and paste them into the F_Reiza folder in the game. (Delete the others first. DO NOT OVERWRITE)
5. That's it, the skins are in.

New version is pretty good compared to the older version. Nice change and means softs and supersofts now come into play!

@Kev I just tested the track on my laptop at the office. The track surface looks horrid. Will see how it looks on my PC @home tonight. Bit not impressed with it. The bump in turn 9 is removed. It should be there. white block on the side of the road right around the track. Looks like lines across the road.
At this stage I don't see any reason to use it unless my pc @home displays it better. Track surface looks very grainy.

@Denis. Tyre choice is still Mediums & hards. Sorry

New track looks much better on my machine, and no bumps in the middle of that fast right hander into the second drs zone!

That bump in 9 is not there in real life so why would or should it be there in a sim? Especially when it unsettles the cars like it did. If that bump was that bad in real life then bikes would have a hard time around there at a 60+ degree lean angle and would be very dangerous!

Ahh, are mediums and hard still the race options, ok cool...pity i liked the softs finally felt like the car had grip! But ok no problem...mediums it will have to be! Car feels too slippy on mediums here to me, was hoping the newer version would have a bit more grip!

Yeah curious to know if maybe on lower setting machine it looks worse or not, certainly on my machine it looks sharper and colours look better!

Does your laptop run lower settings to your main machine Gert?

I also added a HDR mod, makes it look even better still!

Yes laptop does have lower settings.  Not worried about my laptop. My home PC is what counts when I am rocking the track.

Agree with Gert, the track surface looks terrible, same lines across the track from left to right as we had with Silverstone and another one which I forgot what it was.

Ok I tested the track here at home last night. I managed to get rid of the lines by pushing video texture quality up. On lower setings you see the fugly lines across the track.

The problem I have is that I like the older version. Car handles better on the older version then this latest 1. 3 corners I have to lift on the new track compared to the older 1. Yes I know they guys don't like the bump in turn 9. For me that is not a problem. The new track is a lot more slippery then the old 1. That is going to cause more guys to spin out.


I prefer the older 1, & would like to race on it rather.

We will test it again this afternoon and let you know as soon as possible guys.

hmmm, i keep getting a "join timed out" suddenly.
I was doing practise and lost connection. Now i cant connect again.
I have rebooted the modem as well as the pc, but no luck.
Any ideas perhaps?

After the track swopping we ended up with the 1st track. glad we did cause did not like the new 1 at all.
My team mate was in Lesotho yesterday & could make the race.
Denis had great pace & I had to relook my setup Sunday afternoon to try & find more time on the track. If it was not for Denis I would have been content with a 1:20.2 I made the setup changes & then managed a 1:19.3 offline. few
Race :
Q1 P1
Had a reasonable start. Got into turn 1 1st. Eugene had a good start as I could see that in my mirrors. Denis was up to 2nd & the race was on. I just tried to go fast with out trying to go to fast & make mistakes. Denis kept the gap small so there was no resting. I went in to pit on lap 10. Denis went an extra lap. I knew that the new tyres would give me an advantage from my outlap & that I would have to push to make sure to be in the lead after makes his stop. But it was not to be. Denis got into a menace & I ended with a big gap to P1. I then just it easy to get the win.

Race2:
Q1 P1
Had a fear start. Eugene again had a good start & was right by me in turn 1. I took it easy the first 2 laps before I started to push. I had a look at the leader board to see where Denis was. I saw that he was stuck in a bit of traffic & then started to push a bit to make sure that when he gets to P2 that I had a bit of a gap on him. Eugene kept him busy for a while. I pitted a lap later compared to race 1. Did a few fast laps & then went into cruise mode at the end cause I had a big gap to P2. both Eugene & Denis made mistakes.

It was still a great race & well done to all the guys that competed.

Sorry for not being able to attend the race gents looks like i missed out on a lekker event.

Anyhow, went up to Lesotho for the day, through the Sani Pass, after some heavy rains a few weeks back, what too me 20minutes on my last visit, took over 2 hours this time around.

A serious drive with rain and poor visibility due to mist and clouds, made it little scarey but an expedition none the less

Interesting race meeting last night. I was really hoping i could break into the 1:18's after some of my practice offline i knew on virtual times i could...and having a offline time of 1:19.2 i was optimistic.

Quali 1 just never went to plan, i got traffic on almost every run and i started getting upset and then lost focus so when i finally got 1 clear run...i messed it up sigh!!!
Race 1 started great, Eugene was fast off the line but i was lucky he made a mistake allowing me by early enough to catch Gert. Gert pitted as i got DRS..so decided to use the DRS and finish another lap...but then caught traffic and lost a lot of time and then spun from frustration...rookie move! Race for the win was over after that.

Quali 2. This time i managed a few clean runs but could not get my rhythm at all. Right at the end on my final run i managed a 1:19.7 and with enough fuel for another lap was pushing and was up..then made a mistake in the middle sector and time was up!
Race 2..what a shocking start i had. I tried something different off the line and i bogged down, was about P6 i think in turn 3. So took a few laps to get back to P3 and then had a great dice with Eugene before settling down in 2nd. By now Gert had a 18 second lead or so so just kept going and spun...but so did Eugene so ended with a 2nd again. Track grip was too low on this track...but i enjoyed challenging Gert in race 1, wish it went better but theres the next one!!!

Well done to the guys, great racing Gert and Eugene..good fun even though i was cursing each time i spun lol.

Hope we use the laser Silverstone, its the best track on GSC and is super exciting in these cars!

After checking numerous tracks, I have noticed that all the DRS tracks have a grip level of 1.00. Why this is, I don't know.
So, as of now, to keep the game consistent and grip levels equal on all tracks, we will ONLY use tracks with a grip level of 1.02.
The laser version of Silverstone is 1.02, so that's the one we will use.
