That won't happen. Costs are killing and thanks to TV in this country, interest is smaller than anywhere else.

It has been a talking point for some time now. It should be awesome if it does.

I remember in '97 when three teams came to test for a few days at Kyalami.....between 10 and 15 thousand people turned up.....so the interest and support is definitely there......this discussion goes around and around in the local media....every time Bernie as much as utters the words "South Africa" they all go in to a frenzy....unfortunately motor racing is not at the top of the Ministry of Sport & Recreation's agenda....and Bernie wants too much "appearance fee"....so, sadly as much as I want F1 back in SA, I still can't see how we will pull it off....we'll keep hoping and dreaming though....

Last year 3 GP2 teams tested at Killarney of all places lol!
