As Christo said - "Season Ender" - but regardless of how we all feel about the sluggish and now dated DTM cars, I can't help but feel that they brought us the joys and expectations we are all experiencing right now.
Here's to the new chapter and the SGT500's. It's gonna rock your socks off.

As first thing, sorry again to Denis for ramming him at the chicane in Race2. Totally screwed my braking point I fear.
For the rest, I was fairly slow but had some entertaining battles in the midfield. No boring race at all!

Re: DTM CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON 1 FINAL ROUND DONINGTON 3 DEC
Donington, not a track that I like. Fast flowing corners but it does not work for me somehow. I just cannot get rid of the car sliding no matter how I change my set up.
So my plan was to have a clean race no matter where I ended up. I qualified in 4th place for both races. After race 1 restart I was in 4th place and clear of the 5th place Kevin. I finished in 2nd place with Denis and Eugene making mistakes. Race 2 first lap was a disaster when I went off the track with cold tyres and a car that was far more over steering than what it was in the first race. Had to wait for all the cars to pass before I could get back on track. Was surprised when I got into 2nd place after a few laps. Denis had issues, Eugene got disconnected. I was even more surprised to be in first place with 4 or 5 laps to go when Migs's game froze for a while. I kept the lead to the end.
So finishing in 2nd and 1st place was far more than what I could hope for on a track I do not like and a car that was not handling.
Well done to Migs who won the Championship. Sorry to Eugene who again got disconnected. Terrible way loosing a championship battle.

Re: DTM CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON 1 FINAL ROUND DONINGTON 3 DEC
What an Ending...
My heart goes out to Eugene for the way his Championship run came to an abrupt end... being in the same position, I would probably also have felt cheated as he very well is but as the saying goes: That's racing my buddy... Keep your head up and your tyres pointing straight ahead, there's still plenty racing to happen between us
Race 1:
Great launch and Eugene close behind into 1st corner... first few laps he kept me honest but after that, me and my dearly departed BMW just strolled away. I noticed that suddenly Eugene was no longer behind me and was falling down the order. Pit stop went smooth and passing back markers was a pleasure. Everyone behaved professionally and a big up to Christie, Rudolph, Niel, Francois and Denis for making the blue flags real. After the race, I found out that Eugene had blown his engine... thanks for the gift Buddy
Well done to all the drivers who finished the race... was not easy on this track.
Race 2:
Pole position again but this time too much wheels spin at the start which gave Eugene the line for turn 1. I allowed him some space to settle into a rhythm before going for the attack, tires being cold and the car fat with fuel. Knowing I had the pace, I realized it would only take a small error from him to give me the lead and therefore was in no rush to commit to possible devastating battle. All I needed was to finish in 2nd to win the title. Regardless.... everyone knows that racing is just that - RACING - and it's very hard to hold back when the confidence is ripe.
So I go on the charge on lap 3 only to see Eugene disappear right in front of me down the pit straight. What a way to go... right there I got that hollow feeling of helplessness and seeing a title contention go down the tubes... Eugene got disconnected
Really buddy, I felt for you and wished it could have ended differently. Taking the championship this way is not honourable for me and I want to be on the record for saying it - but someone has to lose for someone else to win unfortunately.
Anyway, the race continued as the previous one until lap 15... I remember looking at the lap counter and thinking "there are still 2 laps remaining and I need to keep focused - anything can still happen" BOOOOOOM... the very next corner, my game freezes. I had a 30+ sec lead... what rotten luck - yes Eugene... I know the feeling too. I got on the radio and asked if everyone else had also frozen in game but no, it was only me... defeated, I realized that Eugene was meant to take the title and as I was about to exit the game, my car suddenly began to move again...
I was in 4th place just behind KyuKyu and honestly, the whole thing rattled me a bit cause now I was making mistake after mistake... sliding, going off track etc.
In the end, I managed to finish in 4th which was enough to give me the title. So I want to thank all of you - my fellow drivers - for the awesome season, even though there were some ups and downs along the way, but it was very gratifying in the end knowing that I'm able to participate amongst a great bunch of guys who share this passion for racing.
I am really looking forward to the next season and also to the beginning of a great battle once again. Thank you to ShadowRacing for hosting all of us and congratulations to all the drivers for sticking it out till the end.

Re: DTM CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON 1 FINAL ROUND DONINGTON 3 DEC
What a fun car and track to drive! I had a terrible time getting used to the car and realized only in race 1 how to get it to go a little quicker!
Slight knock from Eugene left me wondering if i was damaged so pitted, only to blow my motor when trying to exit the pits!
Race 2 went similar, only Kyukyu made a mistake same story i pitted and repaired and drove on, only now making it out the pits and half race mistake...bang again lol!
So...found out the hard way radiator setting on 2 is not good for the races hahaha.
No problems for the knock Kyukyu, we all make mistakes.
Massive congrats to Migs for the championship and real sorry for Eugene to loose it like that man, real shame but i hope you come back stronger in the next seasons we doing!

Quite a night of drama...
Before I get to my race, I would like to thank you all for taking part. These cars have given us a lot of really great racing.
Congratulations to Migs, great driving and well done.
To RaZoR, tough break my buddy. I feel for you. You gave it a really good run and over-all still hold more championships than anybody in this league. I know you will come back next season and do your stuff.
Race 1:
Peter and I were locked together the full distance of the race. Wheel to wheel. Thank you Peter for driving like a true professional. I managed to get past him with a lap and a half to go and just kept my head down and drove like hell to finish 4th.
Was very happy with the result.
Race 2:
Kept my same pace as the first race but had a much better pit stop this time. After the front runners had some problems, I found myself in a good spot and once again, drove like hell.
Managed to finish 2nd.
Great nights racing and look forward to the SGT500.
Bring it on....
