I would nominate Christo.
Not only has his driving improved at a rapid rate over the last few months, he has also always been a gentleman on track and is a very fair driver.
He is always willing to help someone on and off the track.

Finishing 2nd in his first full season of online sim racing is a really great start to his career.

I second your nominee for Christo as he is the probable candidate but I would also like to mention Kevin as a nominee.
He may not be the fastest driver out there, but damn, he is consistent.

I nominate Kevin

He has done plenty for the league, Keeping all the guys interested & promoting the league. He has also have huge improvements in all the classes he drives in & has shown as one of the big improvers. Like Christo, is a true gentleman on & of the track.

Even though we haven't been with Shadowracing for too long, what I've seen from Kevin through his track ethics and the home he has made for the racing simulation community, is really worth giving him the title of "Driver of the year". Takes a lot of work and planning to keep these leagues and races running smoothly and fair. With a great server that is always a pleasure to race on, so a big ups for keeping it up and running.

He has brought us an awesome online racing community, where we can all race together without hassle and minimal debate. And always keeps an emphasis on "Having Fun". And that's what it's all about.

Driver of the year? Driver of the year! What a mouthful. ShadowRacingRSA has a lot of drivers that fit this description but it is a hard one to come up with the correct name without 'sleeping' over it.  Kevin, Christie and myself should not be allowed to be part of it as the staff and the moderator of the league. But on the other hand, leaving the running of ShadowRacingRSA on the side line, we could be included but only for driving the cars on track, hence driver of the year.
I need a bit of time to sit down, relaxed, with a red wine to look at each one's achievements through the year before I can nominate one or more.

Not sure if i qualify to judge, but in my time with the guys its a tough call...cant comment on some drivers improving but i can judge based on attitude to other, and would go either Christo or Kevin, most likely lean to Kevin for his effort in helping guys out and getting this league going, but Chrsito for his great attitude on track, being helpful and always a clean sport! Tough call...but my vote goes to...goes tooooo..em...goes to Kevin!

Well, if we take into account the running of the league, it's Kevin hands down of course.
Speaking of pure "driving", Razor has always been on a league of his own, but a few drivers have greatly improved over time. The two who come into my mind here are Christo and Haribo. Christo debuted in spring already as a very promising driver, but was a bit slower than me and at times prone to mistakes. Now he is constantly faster than me, always fights for victory and makes little mistakes. Also, I think he owns the record of laps in testing
Haribo debuted as a mixture of Grosjean and Maldonado but won the GTAm Championship and really put all the effort he could into learning and improving.
A last mention to Christie, who is also slowly but steadily improving!
I have to say that we all improved over the year and are faster and more consistent now. Just somebody improved more than the others

Morning racers, well difficult choice as i think Kevin, Christo, Christie has done an amazing job with the transition from GTR to GSC, the league itself and the shear pleasure it is to drive here.

On the track, my vote will go to Gert, he dominated season 1, and has a fair play temprament on and off the track. Just buy the way he dominated the field in season 1 I think Gert deserve the award of being a cut above the rest.

I vote for Gert. His commitment to winning is admirable.

For me, it's got to be Christo.

Judging from his performance in FReiza, he has speed to compete for podium, consistency to finish every race and the ability to stay out of trouble. It is rare that I see him retire from a race because of a collision. The best thing about all of what I have mentioned above is that he achieved them despite having started sim-racing recently. He can only improve from here on.

Honourable mentions to:

1. RaZoR, for winning pretty much almost everything when he came to this league.
2. Gert and KyuKyu, for actually being able challenge RaZoR on pace, which is an impressive feat.

Denis looks threatening now that he's in the league too.

If we are not talking about driver ability only, then Kevin, Christie and Christo deserve a vote because the way they run this league is as though this is their full time job. Amazing efforts, thank you gents.

Whilst there are so many great sim-racers whom I have had the honour to compete with, AND for which I have great respect for(each and every one of you Guys!), I am going to cast my vote for "Christie" for for being such an amazing sport and for doing his best throughout all the races while competing against some major competition and really improving through out all of the events that we've had!

Well done Christie!
