Re: Endurance Racing - SPA - 29 November 2014
Thanks to everyone involved - last night will have to go down as one of my most awesome and intense online races ever .
Went into the race with a few reservations - Turn 1 hairpin and a large grid - was waiting to see car spares scattered all over the track - but was not to be - the racing etiquette last night was how it should be . There are a few other leagues I have participated in where they could learn a thing or two , but as they say the Community makes the game .
I guess all else has already been mentioned in the previous posts
Bring on Sebring

In the Blancpain GT Series they run 2 championships in parallel, a Sprint Series with 2 sprint races on one weekend and an Endurance Series with one (very) long race the other weekend. At the end of the year there is a Sprint Champion, an Endurance Champion and an Overall Champion.
So why not run a similar championship next year, mixing in an endurance event every few (2? 3?) sprint events? The Simtec guys could join in the endurance championship for example if they are interested...
The Blancpain series has the cars of our GT mod (which I still prefer), but the SGT500 is also absolutely great to drive.
Me, Kevin, Chrstie and who ever else will definitely have a look at this, thanks KyuKyu - sounds like something that could work for all of us.

Blancpain GT3 cars are amazing to drive...well worth a look! Maybe we can try a fun friday event with these to get a feel for what guys do or dont think of them?

We would definitely be keen for a series like this. Keep us posted on any more thoughts on this.
