We will be driving the 2014 DTM Mod at WATKINS GLEN
Racing will start at 8:00pm SA

20 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race 1:........20 LAPS WITH pit stop

10 minute unlimited lap Qualify
Race2:........20 LAPS With pit stop. At least 4 tires must be changed.


POINTS:

1 point for pole position in both races.

1st.....17
2nd.....14
3rd.....11
4th.....8
5th.....6
6th.....4
7th.....2
8th.....1

The race will have a standing start

The usual league rules apply.
Keep it clean and have fun guys. Don't forget to welcome any new drivers.

Arrived late to the event, with no previous track time, but managed a 6th and a 4th. Great racing with Peter and Francois !! Thanks guys and well done !!

As usual lately, got DC during first race when in 4th. Think I found the solution.
Race 2:
With Christo getting DC (Sorry my buddy), I moved into 2nd position on T3 and hung on for a while until RaZoR managed to get past. A few laps later, he left the game and I found myself in 2nd again behind Migs who drove a super quick race.
Had Mike and Fransie 10 seconds behind me when I pitted, which took 4 seconds (Thankfully). After their pit stops, I pulled away from them at a steady rate to finish 2nd.
The race felt a bit hollow because the top drivers were missing and I hope their internet is sorted for the next one.
I must say, Fransie and Mike had a fantastic battle for 3rd and 4th. Well done guys.

What a night...
Somehow, my quick setup went from Hero to Zero in the space of practice to Quali. Still don't know what I changed during practice 1, to loose my previous edge...
Nevertheless, it was an awesome battle with RaZor for 2nd position right through race 1. Well done and compliments to RaZor for showing me how entertaining a clean, but tough dice actually was. Cheers BUDDY.
Christo was just too quick for us and managed to eventually pull a gap after the 1st 4 laps. Looks like he has found his MOJO... it's up to the rest of us to do the same.
Race 2 was a bit disconcerting... Christo got disconnected as the race started, which left me on pole. Had a fair launch, but RaZor just beat me to turn 1 to take the lead... unfortunately, he got sideways up the hill and I just managed to avoid hitting him, taking the lead again. In my rear view, I saw what became a mass execution of bonnets and bumpers.... as everyone ploughed into RaZor. Needless to say... RACE RESTART.
Again the same, only with 6 drivers on the grid. Don't know what happened to Razor but he was trailing behind in 6th place and worked his way up to 2nd when he also vanished off the track. The race was very lonesome and uneventful upfront. I did notice that Mike and Francois had quite a dice on their own.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who took part and looking forward to the next one...

I had already had a difficult race here in GT2 and knew it would be tough, although I love the track. Nevertheless, over 2 seconds gap was a bit too much, so I decided to observe the top guys to try and learn something hehe. I found that I was basically doing all wrong in terms of setup and driving style, tried a different approach and quickly shaved off over 1 second
Felt like Neo in Matrix as he begins to "crack" the code but not completely (beware! Next time I will fly ). In the first lap I could even keep up with Razor as I managed to copy his lines hehe.
Although the top3 pulled away i enjoyed the race, working on this new driving style and setup philosophy. The pit was a bit problematic because Shadow's car was parked in the garage just one meter before me and I had to put the car in reverse to leave

Then I got disconnected and could not see the server among those listed in the game. I thought it was a server problem so I decided to have dinner while refreshing the list now and then. After a while I decided to exit and check the forum to see if there were any news, only to find out that live racers was actually working and that there were 30 seconds of warm up left! I tried to join but was late for a handful of seconds
So lesson learned for next time: if I don't see the server listed, better to close the game and restart it...

I never thought I would actually be able to get in the 1:38 bracket as I had to learn this track (never driven here before) but managed it comfortably in the end.
Even more surprised to actually be on pole for Race 1. First few laps was tough to keep Migs at bay, but finally pulled a gap to finish on top. My setup was awesome, the car never lost grip and was pulling strong.
Qualified in Pole for the 2nd race as well but my ISP decided that I had enough fun for one night. Promise you I was NOT as calm as Kevin and Christie about getting disconnected. Enough said.
Well done guys for tough smart clean racing.
