Hey buddy,

We wont be racing Simtec vs SR, we at Simtec just have 2 people per simulator, like a driver hot swap. so its team work on this side, But all in all would be nice to see someone from Simtec Racing's side come out on top.

Kyukyu, it is everyone for itself basically, but you know Kevin's competitive spirit - we must beat Simtec scenario. Simtec are going to have a big field of drivers so well done to them for joining us. Server is up already so go test a few cars and grab one.....

Hehe I know I know. Will probably test a bit tonight. I was asking because a team-based race would have involved setup sharing and so on.
It will be a great race with a full grid. Never done endurance before. Looking forward to see how it unfolds!

We have a reputation to keep up. Want to show the Simtec guys that they too could be as fast as us on a rig like mine!

I also did a few laps last night. OMW what a struggle to even take a corner. Like KK said last night, I had to unlearn F1 in order to drive these things. took a while. But then managd to finish a few laps. Still considering racing them on Saturday night.

The practice laps of last night. That BMW is like a jelly bean. It bounces all over the place. I did notice last night the one corner has a bump on the racing line. If I hit it with the BMW the ass goes and then that is it. I have to on that corner move over from the racing line to keep the car on the track. Going to be fun to complete 2 hours of racing. My goal is to finish the race, i need to be there at the end. The start of the race at the first couple of corners will be interesting. I do believe a couple of cars will be out there already. Slow and easy will do it first lap, from there just building on lap times.

Did 15 or so laps last night. Track is good and cars go well after a lap to warm things up. The further you go, the better these cars drive, don't exactly know why.
Here are a few things we learned last night that might help...
The Audi uses a liter more fuel per lap than the Ferrari, but seems to be a touch faster on the straights if set up well.
Tires wear at about 5% per lap, give or take.
The race will be 28 laps long, so I think a 2 or maybe 3 (Tires) stop will work. The tires go down quickly from 80%. Make sure you keep your eye on them.
In the Ferrari, 160 liters of fuel should make it. Not sure about the other cars.

The game works better in laps, otherwise the timer has to be set in the track GDB file for all drivers.

KK & Christo are super fast on this track. I just can't get my groove on. It is a long race, so gonna be interesting.

Gert, just take it VERY easy and you will feel the car working its way in the corners. Laps are long, which means you can shave off seconds quite easily with practice. You used to be fast on GTs too, so just get back used to it

Its sad to say, but unfortunately I have not been able to download the GT mod or the track as I do not have enough data, so I don't know if I'll be able to make the Endurance Race on Saturday even though I wish I could...  

Good news though is that there is a chance that I may still join in time, but I am unsure of it at this stage.

A great event. Truly a great event. We should do it more often. Those GTs are just made for Endurance. Maybe an Endurance champ when DTM is finished?

I enjoyed every part of it. The crowded free practice on Friday which added to the immersion. The great battle for pole with Miguel (0.14s on a 4min lap!) and Christo quite close as well. A good beginning of the (last) race where I enjoyed some thrilling battles thanks to my car being faster in the corners but slower on the straights. Sadly I crashed like an idiot on my own, but well, that's part of the game.
Well done to everybody who finished and to our guests from Simtec, who I think were really up to the task!

I was happy with my position !! The Mercedes held well on the track and never once felt out of control . Awesome racing !!

Great racing after the total mix up at the starts. All we could think of was the game thought we were going too slowly and brought out the safety car.
Qualified 9th and got hit from behind on lap 3 which set me back badly. Decided to take a big chance with the tires and drove on one set for 19 laps! They were on 20% and I had 1 liter of fuel when I pitted with 7 laps to go.
At that stage I was in 4th place with Gert close behind and catching me on every lap. Due to a few mistakes, I managed to stay ahead of him and finish in 4th.
Good racing and well done to all that finished a long and tough race.

Like KyuKyu say, GREAT EVENT. First of all thanks to all the guys who joined, totalling 16 drivers and a new record for GSCE. Thanks also to Marco an Marcel from Simtec who had a strong field entered. This was truly awesome racing - great track - great cars - great drivers. Apologies to everyone for the pace car that caused havoc and not everyone on Mumble it was a tough task to communicate what was happening. So a bit of a late start, we will not let it happen again. Sorry Marco and Marcel!!!
As far as my race goes, could only managed a 3rd place on the grid with KyuKyu and Migs about a second faster. However, this did not matter as I started in 9th place on the random grid. Soon I was in 3rd place and then to second when KyuKyu crashed. A few laps later and I was in the lead when Simtec 5 pitted. I kept my lead with zero mistakes but then hit a barrier very hard when I looked down to see how much fuel I had left to the next pit stop. I was in the pits for 159 seconds to repair the damage when I finally got there after a slow crawl with a damaged car. Terrible to sit and wait in the pits while you see Nabz and Simtec 5 pass you. I managed to pass Simtec 5 again when he pitted another time, taking me to the chequered flag in second place. Well done to Nabz with the win!!!
