A Special once off Endurance Race Event will be held on Saturday, 8 November 2014. The most beautiful track and awesome cars you can get to drive long distance racing. Awesome track - a must download even if you cannot make the event!!!


Track: Le Mans 24H Horas De La Sharte
Cars: Famous GT Cars
Date: Saturday 8 November 2014
Time: 19:00 (GMT+2)
Length: 2 HOURS

Practice: Practice any time offline. Practice Online on ShadowRacing RSA server from Friday 7 November 2014 after Fun Event.
Qualifying: 19:00 for 20 minutes
Race Start: 19:30 sharp
Pit Stops: As many as needed
Rules: Normal ShadowRacingRSA Racing Rules apply

That Iron track is a very cool track.

Raced on it in IRON league with GSC 2012. Track was created by Sergio Marques.

But as much I would love to do this race I will not be able to make it.

How about the race taking place at Bathurst, the famous Mount Panorama in Australia?
If you haven't done this one, you haven't done racing yet !!!

I voted yes with GT cars, with which endurace races are also held in real life. As for the track, I would also choose one where famous endurance events take part, for more immersion. Spa, Sebring, Daytona come to my mind but you surely know more.
As for the evening, I am NOT available on thursdays but could free up any other evening if I am given some notice Smile

PLEASE NOTE THE TIME FOR THE RACE HAS CHANGED FROM 20:00 TO 19:00, ONE HOUR EARLIER.
This will allow our Simtec friends to join as well, expect a big field from them...

THANKS TO CHRISTIE'S KINDNESS THERE WILL BE NO FUN EVENT ON FRIDAY, IN STEAD WE ARE GOING TO DO PRACTICING FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.
As SIMTEC has a huge field of drivers and are already hard at practicing we all now have more practice time as well as we cannot let SHADOWRACING down...

ENDURANCE racing is a lot different in many respects to the circuit racing we normally do. Here a good solid car setup and pit stop strategy is most important. Not even qualifying is important.

PLEASE take it slow and careful through the first few corners until the tyres are warm as you really do NOT want to crash out and having to sit out and watch the other guys having a ball of a time for a solid 2 hours. There will be many corners to safely overtake around this magical 13.651 km track.

You can install and go online to test for mismatches as the server is up and running.
