Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
It was good to see the guys on track last night. Devon & Razor were nice & fast.
1st race:
2nd place in the sprint race was best I could hope for. Reckon if Devon did not get DC'd I would have ended 3rd. I just tried to keep it steady in the race & to stay on the track. Made 1 small mistake that cost me a few seconds.
2nd race:
4th place Got stuck behind Devon at the start, that cost me a few position. Was sitting behind Miguel for half the race with Devon breathing edown my neck. Was Epic. I managed to sqeez past Miguel just before the pit stop. Ended speeding in the pits that gave me drive trought penalty. Devon past me in the main straight as he got a good drive out the last corner to slipstream & past me. After that he was gone. After my penalty I set off chasing down Miguel. He was +- 15 seconds ahead. Only managed to close the gap to a few secs at the end.
WD Razor for double win last night, & to Devon & Miguel for podiums.
& WD to all the guys finishing the second race.

My first DTM race !! Scared and nervous made me sweat like a pig ! After lap 5 the kitchen chair slipped on the mat and my pedals moved out of reach. Into the wall I went. Lol !!

Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
I was so much faster here than at Autopolis and ended up 2nd in Quali 1 and 2. With a good pull away in the first race I got ahead of Eugene and remained there for about 3 laps. Finished 3rd at the end after Devon.
Not a good start in second race saw me in 4th place through the  first few corners. This time it was Migs and Gert all over me and when I went wide both passed me. I was faster but just could not get past Gert and he made sure not to put a foot wrong. Finished 4th behind Gert. Well done to Eugene for 2x 1st places. Was close racing with battles throughout the field.

Suzuka race
WD to the guys last night. guys did very well. My pace was a bit off due to lack of practice.
Race 1:
Finished 5th. Even with my slow pace had a good scrap with the guys.
Race 2:
Finished 3rd (tx to Devon not racing in the second race) Had a good scrap with Miguel & Christo that were faster then what I was on the night. I could not managed to keep Miguel behind me that long. He had some nice pace. Christo was also fast. Had a long scrap with him. He did manage to pass me at one stage but I managed to retake him in the main staight. After that I had my mirrors full of Christo trying to pass me.

Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
Great to see a nice field on the grid.
Some good racing from all the drivers.
Both races I managed to keep up with the front runners for a few laps but couldn't keep up the furious pace. Mid-field was lonely for most of the 2 races, with a bit of action every time I got the chance to race someone.
Thank you all for a great evening and well done all.

Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
Sorry guys but I could not make the race last night due to terrible internet problems. I have contacted my service provider who told me that they were doing maintenance on the tower since Sunday and that all problems were sorted out.
Hope to see you all on Wednesday for the Formula Reiza treat.

Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
I did a 1.14.2 on practice but as Red Spider also noted,we might not be able to cut the corners on the firs chicane like in practice.
Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
Great racing tonight ! Got tagged twice in the first race (probably down to lag), finished 5th or 6th, but managed a podium in the second race ! My best DTM result so far ! Thanks guys !

Missed the first race , but enjoyed the second one ! I definitely need to work on my concentration !
Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
Well, what an evening of racing!
Firstly, I was very pleased to see all drivers showing they have learned to wait for the right moment to overtake. Nice clean driving guys.
Congratulations to Alistair and Kyukyu on their good wins and to all the drivers for a really good show.
A mention must go to Perer Mc Nair and Alistair for some fantastic driving for 15 laps in race 2. Was the best online battle I have ever seen, swopping positions a few times every lap and really driving well. Nice one guys.
Thank you all and see you in the DTM next week.

Re: Tuesday Night DTM Challenge
A great night with a car/track combination that seemed to suit me particularly well
Race 1 I built up a good gap, only to outbrake myself like an idiot and lose 2 places. I then regained P1 but spun out at the chicane with 2 laps to go and brought the car home in P3.
Race 2 I only went wide once, for the rest I kept my good pace and profited from the battle of Alastair and Peter to gain even more gap. It's great to come back with a win and I'm looking forward to driving those fantastic cars on the next track
Where are Razor, Michal and Liaan btw?
