Now that the circuit has been changed to Singapore Bay & I am using an awesome setup that Kev gave us for Suzaka I'm sorted now!

what's this update for the server now? I am not aware of any game updates. Is it because of liveracers?

No update.
There is a button on the menu bar to LiveRacers where you can see all data as well as watch the guys on track.
Nothing to do with the game.

I know how liveracers works.  But I got a mismatch when I joined the server. So I don't under stand what changed. I know I tested the LC with Hennie. We only made changes to the engine file. I made a copy of mine & put it back but still got a mismatch.

O well I synced the game again & it's working.

Its weird I wrote yesterday a post on the GT race thread but it didn't appear. I have had internet connection problems and I couldn't make the last race. Today the internet seems is not working well again, I hope it doesn't play up for the race tonight.

the 1:36 time way beyond my league and to make matters worst my brake pedal broke now I have to use a different set of pedals will take some getting used to, will be slow tonight

Ah was useless this new brake will take getting used to, not the best track to have braking problems.

I agree Kreshnik, saw you disappeared soon in both races.

Must practice

This track is done.

Race 1:
Q 1 P (somewhere end of lap 4)
Had a good start. Started building a a good lead & then made a mistake. Picked up a puncture & damage & did not want to drive all the wa around to get repaired & left the race.

Race 2:
Q 1 P 1
Had a good start. took it easy. Did not want to push and make any mistakes. Razor was following me in a close 2nd. On my pit entry I made a small mistake & took some damage. 8 sec pit stop. Razor pitted the same lap as what I did. As I got released car did not turn sharp out of pits & I hit Razor in the pits. We both got some damage. Razor exited the pits in front of me. I took my time to access the cars permormanc after the pit incident. Car seemed to handle ok. Razor had build a few seconds lead on me by then. I then turned on the screws to catch up to Razor. As I caught up to Razor he made a mistake and lost his front wing. I then took it easy to the end for the win.

WD to all the guys who finished.

Practice, Practice, Practice, thats what it needed to be consistent. I see we all struggled to various degrees with damage, often self inflicted. The 500 laps of practice i put in paid off in the end to give me a 2nd & 4th places, very happy results. I was even leading the first race until i span on worn tyres. Thanks to Christo for testing time & Kevin for an old setup with near max wing. I liked the track and would race again anytime.

Here is a tip for when your tyres are well worn and you need to go to the end: Set your Traction control to Medium on the fly using F8, it worked for me.
In both races I had to pit on lap 6ish for damage, leaving me 12 laps on the softs.

Well Well

After having a no qualify start penalty for race one I took off like a bullet.By the end of the lap I was in 5th place. Got tucked in behind Fransie and just stayed glued to him for 10 laps. At one stage we were 1st and 2nd. Pushed the tires a bit too long in first stint and scraped the wall during my in lap. After a 16 second pit stop, I pushed as hard as I could and was surprised to see I was 4th over the line at the end.

Race 2.

This was one of the best drives I have ever had as far as consistency goes. Pulled away 8th at the start and for the first time in a long time I focused on going as fast and smooth as possible. Kept Peter close for a long period until my pit stop, which was 6 seconds. After that, I was in the zone and kept it quick and clean. Also had the most overtakes of the race.
Went over the line in 3rd place and considering the aliens I shared the track with, was really pleased with my drive and worked hard for my points. True racing.

I do not want to say a lot of last night's racing. While me and Peter put in a LOT of practice laps I could never get good lap times, always fast in one sector and slow in another. It was only getting better towards qualifying time.
In race one on the first lap I lost it in the esses just before the bridge, but with no damage I had to wait until all the cars were past. So I started my race from this spin in last place. I immediately got a nice rhythm and without further mistakes I finished the race in 3rd place.
Race 2 is sometime I do not even want to talk about - a disaster to say the least. So many S T U P I D mistakes. In the end with a broken car I also just hit the ESC key and call it the end of a terrible night.

Had a 4th and a 6th. Thats better than i could ever have hoped for !!!! Enjoyed it thoroughly with a stable car and a 46 degree angel wing setting !!
