WELCOME
Due to the fact that the track list for the DTM was made up BEFORE update 1.21, some of the tracks don't work with the update.
For this reason the track has been changed to Zandvoort for the next round.

Great racing tonight.
A good 3rd place in race 1. Great fight with Peter all the way.
Race 2 was going well, in 3rd again early in the race with Peter on my boot from the start. Going into the main straight, we had contact and I spun out and into the barrier. Race over!
Thank you to all who took part.

The less I say about tonight's races and about my own spectacular driving, the better. No excuses, just bad, bad, bad driving.
Thanks to all participants and special word to Eugene for his driving in second race. "AWESOME"

Re: DTM 2014 ROUND 9 ZANDVOORT 7 OCT
Like Red Spider was saying earlier, this track is just awesome to race on - can do it every week.
Qualifying less than .1 of a second ahead of Kyukyu (hereafter referred as KK) in first place, I knew we were going to have a long battle. Starting from the 'wrong' side of the track and a 'slow' start from me, KK took the lead in the first corner. The battle with him was so intense that I never attempted to look at the positions behind me. I was on his bumper and next to him for 15 of the 20 minutes. I then decided to take the inside line of T9, but with worn-out tyres we touch, putting me sideways loosing time. I decided to stay on track and take a second place. I picked up the fasted time in the race of 1:31:361.
With a 40 minute second race, I decided to keep fresher rubber throughout the race so I got my mechanics to change my strategy to a 2 stopper. Great stuff, KK will not know what hit him this time!
With the timing lights starting to count down the start of the second race, KK was still in the pits, huh? As he enters the grid and with one red light to go, I thought it was the green lights, pulling off like crazy only to gain a drive through penalty for false start. DAMN!!! My pit stop strategy out the window. No big first corner crashed to restart the event either.
By lap 3 I had to serve my drive through penalty and came out in 7th place behind Red Spider. 3 laps later and I was back in 3rd place behind Eugene, with Kreshnik in the lead. I did my 1st pit stop on lap 10, dropped down to 6th but 3 laps later I was up to 2nd again. With too little fuel in the tank, I had to do a second stop which caused me to drop a place, but with new rubber I managed to pass Kreshnik. By now Eugene took the lead and I had to settle for second place, AGAIN. At least I was rewarded again with the fastest lap of 1:31:058. Was it not for the drive through penalty .............
Well done to everyone who raced and thanks to Kevin for hosting yet another awesome event. Adios until next week.

Re: DTM 2014 ROUND 9 ZANDVOORT 7 OCT
Howzit Everybody!
Unfortunately I missed the 1st race, then luckily I just made the 2nd race in time! I made a quick setup and didn't quite know what to expect starting from the back of the grid... I think its my 2nd race that I've ever done on Zandvoort, so being a little rusty I just focused and tried to keep my car on the road and eventually I kinda got the track figured out again.
Well done to the guys who got Podium & Top 5!
Its been a few races that I have missed, 3 or 4 I think this DTM season, but its good to be back and racing DTM!
Please remember to also add me and my Audi #23 to your entries list?
Thanks for a great race Guys!

Re: DTM 2014 ROUND 9 ZANDVOORT 7 OCT
Great event yesterday with many drivers on a fantastic track.
Q1 I was feeling safe with +0.7 over Christo, who then did pole for about 0.07s with 2 minutes to go. Tried to reply but didn't improve...
R1 I started well and took P1, then engaged a SUPER battle with Christo, while pulling away from the rest. For 15minutes he was all over my mirrors and I didn't know which engine sound of the 2 was mine. I knew there were only a couple of good passing points, so I focused on keeping my line without mistakes, not an easy duty under such pressure! Midway through, Christo started attacking hard while I was also facing big understeer. He got on my side a couple of time but I managed to stay ahead. A very clean driving from him although I was only leaving minimum space. 15 minutes passed this way with me only managing to think "corner, brake, lift, gas, brake, steer, gas, corner".
Then at one corner Christo braked just half a meter too late and we slightly touched; he half-spun and I could finally breathe in the last laps...
Q2 was also very tight, this time 0.049 between us.
Muhahahahaha a devilish move from me
Actually I was still changing setup after the big understeer in R1 and joined just in time I started well again and passed Christo, but in the first laps the car was too oversteery after the changes so I made a mistake and Christo passed me. I counter-attacked at T1 with an optimistic move that almost took both out, so I lifted a bit to let him pass again. To my surprise he pitted on lap 3, but a lap later I spun on my own before the hairpin and hit the wall destroying my front bumper. I decided to pit and recovered to P3, but in the last 5 minutes the tyres were so much worn out that I was lapping in 1.42 . I was then an easy prey for Christo and Peter and finished P5.
My congratulations go to:
-Wikus for joining and doing well
-Razor for joining last-minute and winning as always (bets were placed 1 to 0.9 anyway )
-Christo for his speed and his aggressive but clean attacks during our fierce battle
-Myself for holding up till the end in R1
-All the others for joining and doing their best on this great track
Next Tuesday I'm away sadly, so Christo I'll be hampering your races in 2 weeks
And beware of Claudio if he joins, we were testing together and he beat my times at his 4th timed lap...

Re: DTM 2014 ROUND 9 ZANDVOORT 7 OCT
Awesome track with the best racing I have ever had, was doing well in R1 but my mind wandered whilst running down the straight & I forgot to look for my braking point & drove off the end into the barriers. Doh!
R2: Kevin Spider & myself were swapping places regularly & harassing each other which was more fun than trying to win the race.
Apologies to Kevin whom I tapped out after his back end drifted slightly, slowing his car whilst I was on his bumper ready for the overtake into the straight.
He took it well considering what fun were were having & he subsequently missed.
Nice to see new drivers Wikus & Kreshnik on track
Please enter my car in the Entries list. Its the Yellow one from the German Post Office #17 Timo Glock (He is a mate of mine & said I could borrow it)
