Well, we had some good racing and these cars are great to drive. A bit twitchy and raw, but once you get it right, fantastic to drive.
They just need practice and a light foot when leaving a corner.
I even managed a 3rd place last night! Cool

Please sign up for the series which will start next week.
We will have another test race in the next few days, I will let you know,
Thanks guys, great fun.

The oval tracks are painful if you get it wrong! affraid
They are going to need a lot of practice and if you can practice with someone else driving behind you and then swap places a few times, it might help. The problems seem to be caused when the cars are close together.
It is however, fun to drive at 350kmph and is harder than it looks.
Thanks to the drivers that joined us. Was fun.

I think that is what these car are mean to drive. Excellent dinamiqs and good feel. Because they use rolling start, it mean safety car is also there and when there is caution or full course yellow, the lead car must stay behind safety car and all other driver then catch up to lead car and race begin all over again. Lot, Lot of fun and excitement. Also the tyre don't like to turn left all the time. It make for interesting strategy for race.
I think is best mod so far I get in Shadow Racing. Well done admin for put this mod for series. I like very much bounce bounce bounce

Indy car racing is as exciting and challenging as any other motorsport out there.
Unfortunately, a stigma has been placed on this form of motor racing as being boring, by guys who could not meet the challenge this mod offers.
Here one has to contend with a car doing in the excess of over 400km/hour on the longer ovals, having to have the necessary skills and patience, and having to keep your wits about you when taking on the normal circuits, which there are plenty.
Please guys, don't just judge this series on hearsay from misguided individuals, but take it on yourself to challenge your driving skills with a car that is exciting and exhilarating to drive, and find out first hand what it takes to master these brutes....Very Happy

Thanks to Gustav for bringing this up, I just want you to know that some models have more HP and Less Torque - - Others have less HP and more Torque.
The cars are balanced and will give you the same lap times no matter which one you use.
Thought we would just let you all know. Very Happy

Timo and I was probably about a second slower in default setup when comparing the Toyota engined car with the Honda engined car. 16kw and 12 Nm difference, but we could immediately feel the difference. We did not test the other engines...

That's the way the mod was made and many leagues have raced with it.
The solution is simple, take the faster car if it helps.
We can't change the physics because we don't know how to balance them and no-one has mentioned this from any other league. I have searched for hours.

Post by Tim Smith 1st October 2015, 09:28

Hi guys! Smile

I think the reason for Gustav's post is misunderstood. I chose the Toyota because I liked the skin of the All American racing.

I asked Gustav to join my team, he had slower lap times with the Toyota, I switched to a Honda, after 2 laps, 1.5 seconds faster.

Guys, I've never done so many practise laps before with any other mod and that is because I enjoy these cars tremendously!!!

We just felt that we share our finding to all, incase someone choose the Toy and commit for the season and get frustrated. I would hate to beat my rivals and know it's because they had a slower car.

For me, the other cars are all the same.

As you know, I'm not an alien but this is my experience and I thought I'd share it.

Looking forward to tonight and thanks Shadowracing for this awesome opportunity! bounce bounce bounce

The info is in the "Next EVENT" thread.
A quick repeat though......

Rolling Start

Qualify is at 8PM

Race length is - - 34 Laps

A full tank is not enough fuel.....so Pit Stop is up to you but 4 TIRES MUST BE CHANGED AS WELL.
